Apparently diaz didnt turn up to any press conferences this week and couldnt be contacted for two days during this. Dana White has pulled Diaz from the match and replaced him with Carlos Condit leaving BJ Penn with no opponent. Dana White has said his idea for BJ Penns opponent is crazy, should be interesting to see who it is.

Diaz could be cut after this as he is known to be hard to deal with. Cut without even having a fight, thats a good record. Zuffa own strikeforce and UFC, not many other places for him to make good money..really stupid decision on his part.

Man and Diaz back in the days was shit talking bout how GSP don't wanna fite him, oh well, this looks to be the opposite now... I think GSP was always guna win this fight anyway...

Who you got winning between GSP and Condit anyway?

I think GSP beats condit, his wrestling is too good and lets face it Condit isnt much of a wrestler. I believe Mcdonald gave him a very hard time with that, would of rathered condit vs bj penn which was scheduled but see how it goes I guess.

HAHA well man lets face it really it was either going to be captain america, you or myself to post this and I got in first for a change. I like condit, i think hes a good fighter and I will pay to watch him fight. But unfortunately style wise, this isnt good for him. But we know he will give it his all and I will still watch it. But how awesome would a stand up war with BJ Penn be...we could of had that but damn diaz had to ruin it.

Well Dana said he had a crazy idea for BJ's opponent so who knows the best plan would be Fitch but i think he ruled that out so who knows.

F*ck...I was looking forward to the Diaz/GSP fight. Pretty sure Condit is going to get completely outclassed in another boring GSP affair.

So what would a crazy matchup for BJ Penn be?

My first thought was Jake Shields or Clay Guida.

Other possibilites maybe Ben Henderson, Anthony Peddis or Don Cerrone??

Not sure what weightclass BJ is fighting at now but all of those fights look like pretty decent matchups...

BJ is welterweight now he wont want to fight at light weight so all those guys are out. I just read from BJ's twitter he excepted the crazy fight so we will find out soon! I doubt its Nick Diaz because Dana said he wouldn't trust Nick again so i doubt he puts him on the same card let alone any card.

Nothing to stop one of them moving up or fighting at catchweight. I'm guessing crazy fight must mean unexpected so I still reckon Shields, Guida and Ben Henderson are the likely picks.

Total wildcard guesses, Jose Aldo and Chael Sonnen. You wouldn't expect that now would you.

If it's a guy in his own weight class, what would be crazy about that? Unless it's Jake Shields, which would be a very good matchup.

What about a Strikeforce fighter? Melendez? Tyrone Woodley?

Robbie Lawler?


It's probably not going to be a UFC top 10 ranked welter imo as such a matchup isn't crazy. This will be an outside the box pick imo.
