Default Anthony Crolla could step in and fight Morales

What do you reckon when this fight was first talked about it was going to be 138, now at 140, Crolla is fighting at lightweight and has admitted he can still make super featherweight but feels good at 135.

Crolla says he is willing to step in as he is on the undercard, am not sure Joe Gallager his trainer is not in Vegas for the fight and he is to small for 140. On the other hand he gets a chance of a lifetime in one of the biggest PPV's in history and if he gets beat and maybe badly he can dust himself off come home and fight Willie Limond for the British Title.

I don't know much (anything) about Crolla, but I Morales is badly faded and his performance against Maidana means his stock will probably never be as high as it is now in the future. If I'm Crolla, I see this as a great opportunity and I throw my hat in the ring.

If Crolla does step up and fight Morales on such short notice then fair play to him. It is the chance of a lifetime to beat a living legend and claim a strap and if he gets beat I don't think it damages him career wise too much.

As for Morales, he too would be taking this fight at short notice against someone he will not have seen much of himself, whereas Crolla will have seen plenty of Morales. Also Morales is not a full blown 140 fighter himself so the size advantage shouldn't be too much of a problem IMO. I do fully expect Erik to win but how many times have we seen great champions fall (unexpectedly) to someone, with all due respect, who couldn't have laced their gloves in their primes?

crolla throws a lot of punches, a lot more than morales seems to at this stage of his carear

i think its a very good opportunity and he could even pull off a points win

ok its at a higher weight than he is used to but its also not morales natural weight
