Default John Murray - Lamb to the slaughter

Murray aims for Rios' title | Sky Sports | Boxing | News

Very talented bloke but I think the Mitchell fight has shown him where he's at. It's possible to improve on that performance but not a great deal by December 3rd and definitely not enough to conquer Rios.

Best of luck, if he is destroyed early it could finish him after what happened against Mitchell.

    What say everyone else?

Maybe Murray was taking the boxing game for granted and the Mitchell defeat was the kick up the backside he needed to take the sport seriously. Just maybe he will surprise a lot of people and hold his own in this fight.

Surprissed at this fight Murray must be short of confidence and to take this fight shows he has balls, but he does lack the skill at world level.

Murray gets stopped in under 5 rounds for me.

I believe this is another level to the Mitchell fight. Would love to see Murray do well but can't see it, even lasting the distance is a big ask i think

Murray has found his level , and its not among the big boys , if he is not in tip top shape for this fight he will be in serious trouble.IMO Murray will be stopped in 8 .

I think he is in serious trouble anyway he is going to be in way over his head against Rios. He will make it a fight while it lasts but he will get stopped imo.

Not the standard bout that most people would choose to recover from their first defeat, but I'm going to wish Murray all the best nonetheless. I don't think he's going to step up to world title level, and would expect Rios to expose him, but Murray has worked hard, and was on his way to a world title shot before he took on the Mitchell bout.

In the old days when you lost a fight you go down the pecking order, now you get a title shot.
