As i've mentioned in other threads, I had a crappy stream Nov. 12th and couldn't see or score the fight properly. During and after the fight all I heard is how dominate Marquez was, or how the "Majority of boxing fans" and those at ringside thought he clearly won the fight, but was robbed/screwed on the scorecards. And furthermore, Lederman must be a senile imbecile, the HBO announcers, "Cheater" Pacquiao, Roach, Arum and the judges who scored the fight for Pac must all be crooks and part of a giant conspiracy, what a load of bullshit.
Since this past Saturday, i've watched the replay 3 times, and concluded each time that Pacquiao won 7 of the 12 rounds. I really could not find more than 5 rounds to give to Marquez, and to be honest, round 2 that I gave to Marquez looked to be even.
Marquez: It was a brilliant performance by him, but not as great as some seem to think. Marquez countered well, landed some big shots that shook Pacquiao, and held his own in many of the big exchanges. He also missed, fell short of the mark and had many of his punches blocked, out of the 5 rounds I scored for JMM in the fight, in only 1 or 2 did he seem somewhat 'dominate'. Marquez didn't get screwed, he simply got outworked.
Pacquiao: Did not look like his normal dominate self, give most of the credit for that to Marquez, unlike Pac's last 7 fights, this one was very competitive, and between 2 evenly matched warriors. But I still had no problem scoring 7 rounds for Pacquiao. Pac was effectively aggressive in most rounds, forced much of the action, and he was busier, landing more punches. It was a close fight and it wasn't pretty at times, but I had Pac winning 7-5 or 7-4-1 even in rounds.
I'm not going to get into the reasons why I believe so many had Marquez dominating or winning this fight, and i'm not going to get into a pissing match, this just the way I saw it going down folks. I believe that no matter how many times these 2 fought it would end in controversy.
