Cotto would completely destroy JCC Jr

JC Jr is a big kid, I think Cotto beats him but #1 its not a fight the fans want its a fight TR will have to sell the fans on #2 Cotto deserves a better fight.

My suggestions: Martinez, Mayweather, and Alvarez

Cotto would most certainly win this fight.

Cotto vs. Canelo is a better fight though, or Cotto vs. Kirkland.

Or as Lyle said Cotto vs. Mayweather, better late than never I suppose.

Chavez Jr just beat a very limited and weak Manfredo and he didn't even do that easily, he took his lumps and that was against a physically and skillfully weaker opponent than Cotto

Cotto is a much better fighter but it can't just be overlooked that cotto has been weighing in the lower 160s in the ring for his fights and Chavez Jr. weighs around 180 in the ring.

Cotto is bigger in name, accompishment, abilty and style. Sadly though I think its actually Chavez 'part deaux' that has the promotion push not to mention size, size and shoulder span that looked huge last time out vs just happy to be here Manfredo.

Of course Arum wants it but frankly, Chavez doesn't deserve a 'Cotto'. He might start with fighing his mandatory in Rubio.

This is lazy in house promotion from Arum. Cotto wshould win but whilst JCC Jnr is tall and awkward he is not in the league and worthy to fight Cotto.

"Man" vs "Boy with Bloated Record"

    This could be ugly.
When can we get them in the ring?

Tito - you've seen my posts supporting Cotto and berating Margarito, but if Cotto moves up in weight to 160 to challenge Chavez Jr., there's no other way to look at it then it's a direct duck of Sergio Martinez.

I don't want that fight to happen, JCC jr doesn't deserve to fight cotto. Fully hydrated cotto weighs in the lower 160s. Hes a small light middle never mind going up to middle or a catchweight where JCC jr will have around 20+ pound weight advantage come fight night. Cotto still beats him but a fight with canelo or mayweather makes more sense.

A fight with Canelo makes a lot more sense because of the size. Chavez Jr. is a very big middleweight and Cotto is a small junior middleweight.

I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Mayweather, even though it is years too late but just so Cotto can get that last real big payday and then retire.
