Green, it's fair to rate Khan highly, he's a solid boxer with a lot of potential. No doubt about it. I'm not huge on his arrogance, but hey, that's just me.
If it didn't appear Bradley ducked Khan for money reasons, there would be no debate as to who should be ranked higher at junior welterweight.
- Bradley is undefeated.
- Bradley has fought better competition.
- Bradley has gone up in weight to 147, won, and then come back to 140.
- Khan is fighting now fighting Peterson, someone Bradley beat a few fights ago.
- Bradley beat the consensus number two/three junior middleweight in Devon Alexander. It's better than Khan's wins.
Khan has a solid resume too and there are good counter arguments to why he should be ranked higher.
- Khan beat Maidana.
- Khan unified with Zab Judah although Judah had no chance in that fight.
- Khan beat Kotelnik, which is a good win.
Ask yourself though, do wins over Lamont Peterson and Zab Judah do much for you? Not a ton. It comes down to in a way how much you value Khan's loss against Prescott and who you view as a tougher fight, Maidana or Alexander? Personally, taking into consideration when they fought which opponent, I like Junior Witter, Kendall Holt, nate Campbell, Lamont Peterson, Abregu at 147, and Alexander with no lossses more than Kotelnik, Paulie, Salita, McCloskey and Maidana. But, its close.
