Default Danny Williams calls it a day

Williams finally quits | Sky Sports

Good thing as it was a shame him keep getting knocked around by unknowns oversees.

Still tho he was a great domestic level fighter who gave us some great nights (plus a couple dull ones) over the years. Good luck from here on Danny.

    i enjoyed Dannys carear

couple of my mates slag him but they have only really got into boxing over the last few years and didnt really see his early stuff

i honestly believe if he was a bit more dedicated and applied himself better he would have gone further

He was always at his best when he was lighter too, and im not saying he would have had any chance of beating vitali but he may have been a bit closer that night if he didnt come in so heavy

he only lost the fights to skelton and audley coz he came in fat and at short notice

the fight he lost against sprott he was fat and underprepared but it was still a bad decision

and apparently when he lost to sanile sam (whatever his name was) for the euro title the germans did everything they could to keep him off his game, apparently they made sure he got no sleep the night before and shit like that

but all together he would have done a lot better if he had put the effort in
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend

Beating Tyson and Potter with a dislocated arm were brilliant to watch. Hope he really calls it a day and not go to another country, change his name and continues to fight....

There's a new Hungarian fighter on the scene....name of Danilo Viliamsky....looks a bit older and doesn't have the fair skin of most Hungarians...but he's definitely seen a cake of two.

Danny struggled to even stand up in recent fights, saw him against Barker and he was beyond past it. Loved him as a fighter, very entertaining and he was a good character. He has done the right thing here.

Didn't he retire a few years back after he got beat by Audley Harrison?

So it prob won't be the last we see of him.

I thought he retired after the Chisora loss but had a look at his record and he had 5 fights after that with unkown fighters losing 2 by stoppage. Hopefully he stays retired, he gave us some good fights on ITV and sky sports.
