Thread: whats happened to paul applby?

i'm a big fan but he doesn't look the same fighter lately. how far does everyone think he can go? early in his career many people tipped him for big things, including myself. it pains me to say it but based on recent performances id have to change my mind. hope i'm wrong

the john simpson fight was his best performance by a long way

I think since then he has just come up against 2 very good fighters who were fighting at a peak

yeah it was a great performance. i felt gilmour could have atleast got the lindsey fight in scotland for him although was probably a bridge too far at the time anyway. i know he was injured for a while after that. id like to see him get a few learning fights again for a year or so before going after the titles again.

yeah at the time i thought he could have had a couple more fights before taking the lindsey fight in belfast

shows he has bottle tho

and he was doing well against walsh, i forget which round it was but a couple of rounds before the end it looked like he was gonna win, walsh was down and he looked hurt

He's in training just now looking to box prob in march on the undercard ov Ricky burns fight in Glasgow.
