What is Pacquiao then? They're the same size. Pacquiao and Bradley will come in at almost the exact same weight without any hydration issues. Size isn't an issue here.

Bradley is in his prime. He's undefeated and he's fast. Cotto is passed his prime, he's been knocked out twice, and he's not very fast anymore. Cotto isnt the Cotto from 2007. It's unfortunate, but he's not. Why do you think he hasn't been matched with any other top 5 junior middleweight? He's got a punchers chance here at most. His style has also changed from a puncher-boxer to a boxer-puncher. He hasn't fought like 2007 Cotto in a while. That works against Margarito, but against Mayweather?

There are many ways for Bradley to win this fight. Maul for the first few rounds. Box for the next few. Move for the last few. Pacquiao hasn't stopped anyone since 2009 despite what his accusers say. It's possible he has he lost a step. In addition, Bradley has got some beast in him. Pacquiao should be favored, but Bradley is a live dog here.
Your attempts at feigning impartiality make me laugh. I chuckle more about it when you accuse me of being biased and you just made this post.

You are not seriously trying to convince yourself that this is a better and tougher fight than Floyd vs Cotto will be at 154 are you? Anybody else who's not on Manny's payroll feel the same way, out of curiosity??
Bradley imo is a much better fight. Cotto was totally whipped by Pac in there fight. What makes you think he has a chance against Mayweather. Its technical fighter vs technical fighter. Mayweathers technical skills make Cottos look crap. Cotto will be the bigger man but not by much. That will not bother Mayweather in the slightest. Bradley is very awkward and has won all of his fights with relitive ease.
I would much rather see Bradley vs floyd/Pac than cotto against them. Bradley is undefeated and has hardly ever been close to losing a fight. What more can you ask for in an opponent.
Who has Bradley fought that could come even close to beating him? Junior Witter? Alexander who got a gift against Matthyse? Old ass Casamayor? Maybe Peterson is the only argument that can be made.

Cottos resume is much better and I like how you forgot to mention that Pac beat him drained at 145. (and refused to fight him at 150 even though thats the fight he preferred? Obviously HE sees Cotto as dangerous)

As far as Floyd technically makes him look like shit, wrong again. Cotto has tremendous technical skills. Floyd wasnt very technical at all against Ortiz. He relies more on being awkward defensively and offensively now. But he obviously has technique to allow him to get away with it. Technically, they're around the same. Floyd has better speed and reach.

Again, wrong about the size difference. Cotto will come in around 160 on fight night. When Floyd fought Oscar he came in at 147 on fight night. Thats 13lbs..that is a big difference.

I said earlier the Pac/Bradley fight is a good one. No doubt interesting but by no means is it bigger, better or tougher than Floyd Cotto. If it becomes any of the above, it says more about Pacquiao not being as good as people claim IMO but I fully expect Pac to do a job on him.
Completely agree^^ PAC vs Bradley is no where near as Floyd vs Cotto. Bradley hasn't fought any good names and when he fought Alexander when they were bothe undefeated I thought it would be a great fight even though I've never heard of them. Turns out it sucked because they're both not good enough to compete with elite boxers. Once again Cotto was drained, had no trainer, his father had recently passed and now that they want to fight him again they want him to come back to 147 when he's been fighting at 154?? BS!! It made me so glad that mayweather made this fight at the proper weight shows more about him. Only thing that kind of annoys me is that I want Cotto to win but I don't because I'm sure I know what the PACTARDS will have to say if he wins. "PAC destroyed Cotto and Cotto beat mayweather ofcourse PAC will beat mayweather" etc. then Cotto probably won't get a rematch because there's "nothing" to prove. But they'll never say the diffrence in the circumstances they fought under.
    (1) To be clear, there are more "Flomos" on this forum than "Pactards." By far. For me, I like both guys in the ring. It boggles my mind that aren't more people out there who share a similar view. But, hey...

    (2) You're 100% wrong for contending that Bradley isn't any good. Bradley dominated Lamont Peterson and Devon Alexander. Both are good boxers. It's almost ridiculous to even state that opinion. Are you joking?

    (3) Floyd will dominate Cotto. Cotto has NO shot. Don't buy into the Al Haymon spin that Cotto will be more effective at 154. Come on, really? What success has Cotto had against junior middleweights? In a relatively deep division with some dangerous guys, who has Cotto fought? An one-legged Yuri Foreman? Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Cotto fan, and Cotto is a future hall of famer, but his best days are behind him. He's been fighting strictly for a pay check for a long time. This is no exception. This fight should have happened 3-4 years ago.

    (4) Bradley is much more competitive against Pacquiao than Cotto is against Mayweather although Pacquiao rightly should be favored. Watch the Agapito Sanchez-Pacquiao fight. You'll see why Bradley has a shot.

    (5) Remember when I told you prior to the Victor Ortiz-Floyd Mayweather and the Pacquiao-JMM fights that Mayweather would dominate Victor and JMM would give Pacquiao a tough battle? I even created a thread with a poll about who was the tougher opponent. Trust me on this one: Bradley is the tougher opponent just like Marquez was.

This is a quote from Doug Fisher's Monday Mailbag from Ring Magazine (owned by Golden Boy):
"Most of my peers view Pacquiao-Bradley as a more competitive fight than Cotto-Mayweather. They might be right, but I doubt it will be as entertaining. And I agree with you that Bradley’s head (coupled with his short stature and in-and-out movement) will be a problem for Pacquiao." (emphasis added)

Here is boxingtalk.com's Tommy Canz on the Miguel Cotto v. Floyd Mayweather match-up: BOXINGTALK : FIVE OBVIOUS REASONS WHY COTTO HAS MINIMAL CHANCE AGAINST MAYWEATHER

I can't find the quote right now but Fat Dan Rafael from espn.com agrees with that assessment too.

You're in the minority actually that believes Cotto is a more competitive fight than Bradley.

Another opinion of a mailbag I follow, Steve Edwards at Boxingtalk.com (I recommend reading his mailbags if you get the chance as I find him very insightful): http://www.boxingtalk.com/pag/article.php?aid=22841 - saying there that Pacquiao has his hands full.

l agree with pretty much what you're saying except the highlighted part.

So you mean Agapito Sanchez was a rougher fighter than Hatton? The Sanchez fight was ages ago. Do you think Roach and team Pac will allow similar thing to happen?

Lol. They're gonna request a referre that will microcheck Bradley's ass bruh.

I believe Agapito Sanchez is a better comparison than Ricky Hatton, and Pacquiao had some trouble there. Pacquiao has improved since that fight, but Bradley is also better than Agapito. I favor Pacquiao, but Bradley will make this tough. If he blows Bradley out of the water, I would be impressed.

So you say the weight wouldn't have mattered and Cotto still would have caught a beating? Begs the question I asked earlier..so why did Pac try to drain Cotto AGAIN if the result is such a foregone conclusion instead of meeting Cotto in the middle? That was Pacs preferred fight..if it was so easy, fight him again at 150? Truth is Cotto had Pacs number up until that 2nd knockdown..Perhaps due to being drained? Maybe not but we'll never know because Team Pac didn't want the rematch on neutral ground. Simple as that.
We obviosly were not watching the same fight because I did not see Cotto with a chance at all. It was another joke fight in my opinion.
Oh and please dont get me wrong. I am not a Pac or a Mayweather fan. There is nothing I would love to see more than both of them lose. Pac made Cotto weight drained for the fight even though he could have won easy. Mayweather made Marquez go up two weights and still came in over his limit.
They get away with it because people want to face the best with the exception of Pac and Floyd.
And I agree that Mayweather is a much better fighter than Pac and would probably win the fight if they have one. Another reason why the Pac Bradley fight imo will be a closer better fight.
Saying that I would rather see Bradley fight either Mayweather or Pac than Cotto.
Bradley deserves a shot with one of them because of what he has done in his devision. Dominated everyone and not been near losing a fight. So you dont really know how good he is and how far he will push himself to win. Cotto has been pushed to the edge and lost. Bradley has not so who can say how he will react.
The one thing in Bradleys career that looks bad is avoiding Khan. But we now see he did it to get a super fight with Pac and not risk a loss to khan before this fight.
Once again I say this. Cotto will be destroyed by Mayweather. Bradley will do well against Pac and the fight will be closer. UD or KO for mayweather. SD for Pac. They are my predictions. You give me your predictions and we can hold them over each others heads later. Will make for interesting post fight discussions.

Sure thing bud, Mayweather K.O and Pacquiao UD for me.

Plus I'm in agreement with most of what you have said..I was the first to call MM a bitch when he came in 2lbs overweight against Marquez. Not cool at all. Very disrespectful.

Although Bradly has dominated his division, it's not one with that much depth apart from Khan and now, Peterson.

Also, Floyd has opened up as a -700 to Cotto +500 and Pacquiao has opened up as a -370 to Bradley at +310.

Yeah overall bradleys devision is not as good as Cottos devisions he has been in. Its just the fact hes undefeated and won his fights easily that adds a bit of mistery to this fight for me.
The problem with me wanting Pac and Mayweather to lose is that I want them to lose at the same time. I would hate one to have something over the other before they fight. Or you could imagine if one loses the other would avoid them and say they are not good enough because they lost there fight, etc etc. Opening a whole new series of avoidance tactics which they are alredy pretty good at.
Must remember your name althugs for posts after these fights.

Trust me on this one: Bradley is the tougher opponent just like Marquez was.
l agree with pretty much what you're saying except the highlighted part.

Sorry dude but if Alexander and Peterson are the best names he's fought he's some doodoo

bradley is a good well drilled and skilled fighter, and also quite awkward. However, correct me if im wrong, but from what i've seen he is a come foward fighter albeit cautiously so. Which will suit pacquiao. On previous form,he also isn't going to be constantly in the pocket with pacquiao to test his supposed lack of infighting ability or out and out counterpunching from the outside. I also don't think he's that fast. I don't see him beating pacquiao.
Saying that, he is one of better opponents that pacquiao could have fought.

Bradley is a rough and tumble guy which should make PAC train hard and show his skill. If PAC takes him lightly then he loses, plain and simple. It should be entertaining.

Sorry dude but if Alexander and Peterson are the best names he's fought he's some doodoo
Ima have to agree with rantcantrat and infere that your opinion is doodoo
