    Default Bowe-Golota 3

Andrzej Gołota wraca na ring. Riddick Bowe rywalem - Onet Sport

Here's what it says via google translate

Andrew Golota has signed a contract to fight Riddick Bowe - TokFM radio reported. This means that the popular "Andrew" will soon return to the ring. This will be the third fight of the boxers.

In an interview with Orange Sport Golota confirmed this information. - This will be my third fight with Bowe. I do not know yet whether it be wrestling or maybe MMA - explained, "Andrew".

Information about the fight on the radio gave Michael Brill of SMG Europe. The same agency was involved in organizing the fight against Tomasz Adamek of Vitali Klitschko. - O h. 3:00 am completed negotiations on a third clash Golota-Bowe - said the X Days of the Warsaw Sports Marketing, Michael Brill.

Andrew Golota measured twice to Riddick Bowe. Pole was twice close to victory, but each time was disqualified because his rival hit below the belt. In the second match ran clear to score points.

Golota was the last time he fought in the professional ring with Tomasz Adamek in 2009. Then he lost by technical knockout in the fifth round. Riddick Bowe was the last time he fought in 2008. His opponent was Gene Pukall, whom he defeated on points. American is a former world champion WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO.

There are as yet unknown details of the contract. We know only that the duel will take place this year. It is not yet clear the exact date and place.

Funny as hell if this was a MMA match. Either way I got Bowe winning by DQ

Somewhere, Butterbean is offended and Holyfield fears for their safety!

    Eek that's a fucking disgrace.

....Oddly part of me still wonders how a Golota-Holyfield match would have gone. Golota never handled power all that well and he was mentally weak but if he could get a few rounds of work in he was a quality boxer.

Golota is one of the worst wastes of potential there has ever been! He should have won a major title. Sad career, disappointing.

Would be if that was a boxing match. MMA has rich tradition of freak fights.

Was watching Tyson-Golota the other day and the only explanation of Golota quitting I have is that Golota was seriously injured prior to fight but went on to fight anyway for the serious paycheck. The first Mike punches made it worse... Otherwise Golota in his prime had a shot at anybody, if he was given a few rounds to warm up, just like you said.
He kind of redeemed itself at Mollo fight, but it was already far too late.

Golota had great fights vs Byrd & Ruiz, but got robbed. The dude should have won a belt. Golota-Mercer would have been great too, Golota-Rahman.....oh well.....such potential and he shat it all away.

Riddick Bowe on the other hand is one of THE most overrated heavyweights in the history of the sport. Never fought Lewis, never fought Tyson, never fought Ruddock, never fought Morrison....shit his entire career is built off of 3 fights vs the up & down Holyfield where he went 2-1 and 2 fights vs Golota where he was LUCKY to be fighting such a shithead and won by DQ.....other than that Bowe was dog shit. And people think he could handle either Klitschko brother....PUH-LEASE....the dude never handled a big power puncher, there was a reason he refused to fight Lennox Lewis you know. Bowe was talented and all, but he just had an easy route to the titles....had he fought Shannon Briggs I think he would have lost, he didn't fight power punchers because he couldn't take it.

This is sad if these 2 fight in any sort of fight be it MMA or boxing. They are so long past it, that it is embarrassing to get them out of retirement. What next comeback from Lennox, Foreman and Ali

Bowe is not fit to be in a ring, he looks and talks punch drunk. He is in even worse shape than Golota to be in the ring.

Golota would wreck Bowe at this stage, hell in the 90's Bowe was BARELY hanging on before Golota went all Foul Pole on him.
