What would happen if you were to run regular gasoline in a motorcycle versus the mid-grade or the high-grade? I've heard some people say it wouldn't be that big a deal, others say to avoid the low-octane gas completely. What's the big deal?

(I always try put the high-grade in mine, unless the store only sells the regular kind.
