It's amazing how much more Cotto and PBF will get than Latimore and Quintana. (both former champs) . I totally understand this since Cotto and Floyd are WAY above in class, but still it is interesting since all 4 fighters are taking the same risks in the ring. Cool post btw

Without sounding like a tool, you know it's Jessie Vargas who is promoted by Mayweather? I wasn't super impressed with him on the Floyd-Ortiz undercard and doubt he has much of a fan base and all.

Yeah..I knew who it was. I'm a bit surprised he's making that much considering he's a lightly regarded prospect.

Mosley's ex wife will probably get a big chunk of that 650k

Fair play, I guess it is quite a payday given he's never done anything. Probably had to agree to keep fighting for Mayweather, or maybe he really does have a lot of Mexican fans who knows. I think Saul Alvarez making over a million is pretty ridiculous also, really hope Mosley can pull something out of a hat there.

Mosley has never been a big draw and is 100-years-old coming off two (arguably three) stinker performances. He is 100% playing second fiddle to Alvarez here.

Thought Shane would never get out of bed for less than $1million. Also that would be the gross pay, what they take home would be less after paying the staff and taxes. I get the feeling that Shane will be fighting for a long time like Holyfield and Jones.

Wonder what Hopkins and Dawson got?

Hopkins-Dawson split $1.8million for their first fight, significantly LESS for the rematch (according to both promoters and HBO).

Only super sellers like Floyd, Oscar, Tyson, Hatton, etc.. earn mega dough every fight.

Absolutely. I wouldn't be surprised to read that Cotto was actually the biggest seller in boxing behind Floyd and Manny right now You'd probably know better than I, the Klitschkos are making serious money on their own in Germany etc. but probably no more than a million or two in terms of the purse, who else is even in the discussion That's why I was kind of surprised to hear Alvarez was even making over a million, I guess he has fans though.

The Klits make big money in Germany but would make even bigger money if they were PPV over there but less people would watch them. They are thinking in the long term, when they have retired that they will make money in endorsements and promotional deals because more of the general population know and love them. This is why Bruno (and Cooper) were loved over here. The Klits still have to fight in other countries in Europe too, so they must be tax reasons why they still do this every now and again.
