Did anyone see the Ponce De Leon fight a few days ago ?
He looked the best I've seen him in years !
Absolutely schooled and dominated this Lazcano fella who was 22-2 or something.
Was landing punches at will on the guy and barely getting hit himself.
He won every round, 100-90.
Looks like Ponce is headed for another title shot soon or a rematch against fuck head Broner to avenge that "loss".

I'd like to see him avenge Gamboa too, hopefully he's gets on a Orlando Salido run!

i've seen it. But don't get ahead of yourself. The guy he beat isn't that good.
ponce is still a good fighter. As long as he isn't matched with the absolute elite of a division (top couple guys), then he will compete and most often win. put him in with the absolute elite of a division and he probably still loses.
I'm still waiting for broner to admit that Ponce beat him. It is the truth.

Wasn't familiar with Lazcano but he looked like he was stuffed into that weight. Ponce looked good, strong, but I didn't have a blow out. Gave Lazcano 2 rounds and he had some spots and Deleon took moments off. Deleon really could have helped himself if he went to the body with purpose, opponent had a granite head.

Don't get ahead of myself ? You admit he beat Broner Captainanddew and all I said was Ponce should get a title shot soon or rematch that lil bastard Broner. I wasn't saying stick him in with the elite (Gamboa).
And Spicoli you must have felt sorry for that tough SOB Lazcano to give him 2 rounds because Ponce kicked that dude's ass every round I thought as did the announcers and judges, not that that means a damn thing anymore.

I quit giving credence to what most announcers and judges think alooong time ago bud. In hindsight it's saved me some sleep ;D .I saw spots.

I watched this one as well after the Mayweather Cotto fight, was bored of rewatching that I guess. Ponce did look really good but I'd never seen Lazcano other than that and all he really showed was a hell of a chin in fairness. It might be a bit like Malignaggi stopping that Ukranian fellow, or Ricky Hatton boxing well against Urango etc. At the time you want to think they have that extra dimension but it's really just as much a case of their opponent letting them fight that way.
I agree De Leon is certainly worthy of a title shot or a Broner rematch; but I don't think he'd have much of a chance to win that one, and I know the first one could've gone his way.

Urango was far better than Lazcano.
But, Lazcano couldn't have gotten to 22-2 without being somewhat decent, Bob Sheridan said before the fight the guy's only losses were close decisions to other undefeated fighters.
