JMM has a July 14th date for Cowboy Stadium already set. Which is about 8 weeks away. Most fighters train for a fight for 6 - 8 weeks. Not counting promotion time.

Has anyone heard of his next opponent?

The funny thing is on this is, the three fighters at the top of the tree are Amir Khan, Juan Manuel Marquez and Danny Garcia. I'll bet my arse that none of those fights are made and we see

call me sceptical but, Khan Marquez was right there on a plate, and they dont seem interested at all. Names thrown in the hat for Khan were Erik Morales, Breidis Prescott and someone else, cant remember. Not seen any names at all thrown in for Marquez.

I really hope that behind the scenes they are working on Marquez vs Khan.

For JMM to almost guarantee himself another fight with Pacman, is to defeat Khan. And if he wants a southpaw to dance with to prepare himself for Pacman it's Zab!!! I really don't see any other fighter out there for him to fight and full the seats of Cowboy Stadium.

Khan and Garcia was mentioned. But I don't think Garcia is on Khan level right now.
Brandon Rios and Yuriorkas Gamboa should be consider for either Khan or JMM. I'll love to see the speed of Gamboa vs the speed of Khan. And Rois vs JMM.

I would most want to see JMM-Khan. #2 would still be JMM-Rios for me, despite Rios's last outing. This one would have to be at 140, obviously.

But I agree with MacMagician that we're far more likely to get crap fights all around.

Spoke too soon: Marquez will no longer be fighting in July. He's just going to wait and try to get another fight with Pacquiao. I get his desire for that but at this point we all know exactly what that fight looks like and I'm not too interested in seeing it again.

I'm pulling for Bradley to KO Manny.

JMM is doing the right thing and keeping busy and active. He did look a bit slow and muscle bound in his last fight. I think he wanted a southpaw like Zab, so that he can be ready for Manny. He is putting a lot of pressure on Top Rank to get the fight.

The reason why JMM will not fight Khan is because he want the Manny fight and it would be too risky. Likewise Khan does not want to fight Kell Brooks because he risks losing a fight with Floyd.

Why in the world would anyone want to see that? Generally complete shutouts aren't worthy of rematches; that one is certainly no exception. It was literally the easiest win Floyd's had since Hatton, maybe even since Gatti.

I'm a bit perplexed by Marquez. After his display against Manny a fight at Cowboys Stadium would have been the perfect follow up for him to keep up momentum and gain a little more mainstream exposure. Not sure that he really cares about that though.

All you have to write now is there will be no fourth JMM v Manny fight and we will get one.

It must be hard for JMM to keep himself motivated to fight anyone else at this stage in his career.
