Default Randall Bailey - Devon Alexander 9/8

Should be a good fight IMO, I think Alexander wins a decision if he boxes like he did against Maidana. But Bailey is capable of a knockout vs anyone, he's such a strong puncher. He does have a punchers chance, Alexander will have to be careful, but I think he handles Bailey.

I thought devon was allowed to hold entirely to much in maidana fight and don't recall him even bein warned for it, but it was in his hometown. What I'm sayin is I hope he's not allowed to "box" that was this time round

This is a good money fight and Bailey earned it.

He's got a puncher's chance, but Alexander is a lot faster and more active.

I'll be rooting for Bailey, though I had hoped he would get a unification match with Malinaggi instead of this.

Hopefully Alexander Can win the IBF title off Bailey, and then that will set up the unification against Malinaggi down the line, that would be an even better fight than taking on Malinaggi now. The winner of the Malinaggi - alexander or bailey fight could fight Bradley and unify the welterweight division. I think thats what should happen IMO.

And with Khan hopefully moving up soon, I think the 147 weight class is really going to have some good fights within the next year. I would love to see khan fight Alexander, Bailey, maliniaggi again or Bradley. All great fights to be made these are.

+1. I found that fight almost unwatchable due to Alexander's "style."

I second that, and the only way Bailey has a real punchers chance in this one is if Alexander doesn't hold so much, which is probably unlikely given that. I'm not interested in this one at all really

Bailey vs. Maidana would have been a lot more fun to watch than this.

But, Maidana looked piss poor against Alexander and clearly lost so Alexander vs. Bailey is the fight.

I'm always weary of buying into guys counting strictly on power to pull them out. But hey at 40 and and the time put in I'm all about Bailey. 30 seconds of pulverizing Jones erased the pedestrian pace both showed in there for me. No hype on that one...he's one of the most concussive and true punchers over the last number of years. He's earned it. And well, it is against Devon alexander.

Logic says Alexander too young, too fast and too much. But for me its his mentality in some that makes this one good. I think he needs to attack ol' man Bailey early and often turn his old rickity legs and flash combos inside and get him out, he has the tools but he can be phyched out and I don't think he forces pace. Bailey can linger. That gives Bailey life at least early. If he catches Alexander, I dont think Devon takes it. Not at all. They should call this one The Bull in the china shop.

It's defo a fight to be made in the circumstances but in all honesty, I don't think that Bailey has much chance against Devon.

Bailey should lose and be out boxed by Alexander. How poor is the division that Bailey and Paulie are champs. Khan will come up and clean this B side of the division before trying to take on Floyd or Pac Man.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Yeah I agree with that, Khan has a fantastic opportunity to win belts at 147 now, he would beat Bailey, malinaggi (again) , Alexander and I think he would be too quick for Bradley if he uses his superior handspeed and speed to box Bradley.

It will be interesting to see how Kell brook gets on against Jones, if he wins in style there is no doubt he deserves to be fighting the names I said above. If he can win a world title and Khan establishes a name for himself at 147 I would love to see Khan-Brook in the UK down the line. It would no doubt be a massive UK and world level 147 showdown.

I just had a bad thought, what if Bailey wins and fights Khan...and wins that too? You'll have 140 pounder fights where the supposed champ throws 10 punches a round but will KO you in 12 rounds.

Never count Bailey out in any fight or risk being counted out yourself! Bailey deserves this fight and i hope he makes a bucket load of cash!
He has entertained fight fans for a decade and you just never know what will happen when Randall Bailey fights!
