Immediate rematch, it was pretty clear Floyd won so why does he needs to prove it again in his next fight? Weird...
Warrior Cotto is dead. It's Money Miguel now. Cotto no longer cares rather he wins or loses. It's only about the money for him now. The old warrior Cotto would of never coward out of a fight against Saul Alvarez like Money Miguel did. Sad.
yea cause beating up Cotto's leftovers should have earned Alvarez a shot against him? lol VD you're always so full of shit bro, let Canelo fight someone who ISN'T SHOT beyond shit, Canelo "I love leftovers" Alvarez has yet to face a top 5 guy, cause sorry Cintron and Mosley don't count

, let him fight Lara, Trout, Molina, or even Martirosyan, all of them are a step up to the crap he's been fighting
Ha! Cotto is coming off a clear cut loss and doesn't even hold a title. Yet now muthafukkas need to "earn" a shot to face him? Get the fuck on with that bullshit. That's some of the dumbest shit I ever read.
Fighters now must "earn" there shot to face a fighter coming off a loss. Fucking hilarious
he lost to the man who is considered P4P #1 in the world, he didn't go ahead and fight a washed up fighter who hadn't won in over 2 yrs, Canelo needs Cotto not vice versa, that's why the ginger is the one who has to EARN the shot, either way the only Cotto that the ginger will hold a W against is Jose Miguel, and even in that fight he was almost sparked

Yet again you show your ignorance and how little you really know about the sport. Alvarez is about to headline his first PPV as the A player. With or without Money Miguel. He already has his established fan base and is considered a cash cow. He don't need Cotto. He wants Cotto. But Cotto don't want him. Cuz he knows the beating that awaits him. You can spit all the little gay excuses you want. But bottom line is this. Alvarez-Cotto would be big and make a lot of money. And it's clearly more interesting than Mayweather-Cotto 2
I agree with VD that Cotto-Alvarez is more appealing than Mayweather-Cotto 2, but as for Cotto being washed up and a schooling awaits him in an Alvarez fight, I have to disagree. I think Cotto would beat Alvarez going off his last performance against Floyd. By no means is Cotto washed up and he is still the 2nd best fighter at 154. Hes a lot more experienced than Canelo, and I just think he is better.
This rematch with Mayweather hasnt been agreed yet though, and I think Cotto should look at his options for December, I would love him to fight Alvarez. Cotto needs to stay well clear of Mayweather unless who is really just looking for the money. We will see, I think he has the potential to beat anybody at 154 other than Floyd, so he should be going for the Trouts, Canelos etc as I was saying before. I believe we still have a lot more to see in Cotto and hes not over yet, your stupid if you believe that he is.

I agree Cotto is after the most money possible for the last few fights of his career. He said so himself. Can you blame him? If he did turn down a fight against Alvarez it was because he was going to get the fight with Mayweather. If this Mayweather rematch does come off he can fight Alvarez on the Cinco De Mayo next year and have three huge money PPVs in a row.
You know this anyway, you're just shit-stirring to wind up the Puerto Ricans on the board.
