Thanks for that, we were watching the local news earlier and my stepson saw a cottage about 2 miles from here where he had unsuccessfully tried to sell some home improvements a couple weeks ago. Weather doesn't exist until it leaves the north does it?

We got pretty much the rain you're due over two days in the space of two hours. I have never seen anything like it in my life... Not even close.

Got minor national news coverage.

You get a bit of heavy rain darn sarth and it's a fucking pandemic!

Same with the snow we gad those two years. We had months more of it, only news worth once the south gets the first sprinkle!

The south doesn't mean London, the westcountry like parts of Ireland is a virtual fishtank. I am sure places like Boscastle were just imagining all the cars floating through the village. You're missing my point, I'm saying the media is ignorant of anything further North than Manchester.

It was a supercell, uncommon in this country and very volatile. Was amazing, I'll post some pics n vids soon.

Look, whether you're from north or south, we had the proper rain in Wales about a week before it got to you.

At one point our village was cut off with the roads north, south and west all flooded out, and there is no road east.

Essentially, what I'm getting at, is that the whole of England is just small change compared to the epic Welsh rain.

Australia's not exactly known for it's dull, stable climate like the uk now is it? I'm sure you can see why a super cell storm that happened last week in the UK (a country with a boring climate) may be more topical to brits than a two year old australian one?

Can't say anybody thought they were tough because of the weather though (or a blacksmith... Have a word haha), most just thought it was amazing, damage etc aside it was fantastic to see.
