I know he beat Marquez but that was so long ago now and he hasnt done anything really since then ! How do you think John would do against Gamboa, Gonzalez or Salido ?? I would love him to fight somebody like that before he retires.

He's become a complete joke of a champion. In his last fight, fellow Indonesian Daud Yordan faced a tougher opponent than Chris John, even though John is the champion.

So apart from Marquez he has beaten a shitty rocky juarez who has lost to everyone, hes had so many world title shots and lost them all hasnt he ? He is a joke of a champion, I really dont know why he wouldnt want to go to america and earn potentially a lot of money, which he could potentially do fighting a big named fighter like gonzalez or gamboa ?? but as we know hes a joke of a champion, so that would be expecting too much and he wouldnt want to risk losing his " 0 ".

Fifty must be the magic number in boxing. Bronco McKart was hunting fifty wins when he ran into Pavlik and was stopped in the 6th. After the fight Bronco said Pavlik was the real deal and would go all the way. He did! I hope Chris John gets his fifty wins and gives us some good fights along the way.

I dunno if you've seen the fight, but Chris John didn't beat JMM it was a gift. Infact apart from JMM's DQ loss early in his career he's only legitmate loss in my eyes is too Floyd Mayweather.

No I did see but I mean, in all technicalities it was a John win. Marquez traveled all the way to Indonesia for this fight and got paid fuck all and was pushing for a rematch and couldn't get one. John is a joke !!!

hahaha, was commenting about this on facebook about how much of a joke of a champion chris john was and look at the replies...

    "
Matt 'Jack' Sheridan he's actually avoided. none of the promoters in america talk about him because he beat JMM and isn't a big money draw in US where he is unknown.12 hours ago ยท Like

Gaz Williams Matt you've said what I would have, to be honest Tam, you're just showing your lack of knowledge of the Sport. Boxing is a business first, why would any yank want a fight with John who is established and beat Marquez so convincingly. Bringing him to the states against a top draw opponent and then for the 'American pride' to loseto who the general public have no idea who he is... He is avoided like the plague and rightly so. Calling him Sven Ottke of the sport is harsh and dis-respectful. I'd certainly rank John higher than Carl Froch, who lost twice both at the top level... "

how can he defend him? I love the fact he said I had a lack of knowledge in the sport

I would love to see come to the states and fight. But if he don't Lopez has nothing to lose and everything to gain by going over seas himself. And young lion like Gary Russell won't lose much credit ability by getting rob over seas. I hope we do get to sea John fight.

well i said this in reply to that guy who says i have no knowledge

I dont know where you are getting this he beat marquez convincing bollocks from? He traveled to Indonesia and fought for close to no money and got a gift, points deductions and albeit a close fight there was no way that was convincing at all. marquez was pushing for the rematch for years but shitty john wouldnt travel and make real money cos hes a nobody! I think it shows your lack of boxing knowledge to suggest that he beat him so convincing to be honest. and you comparing Carl Froch who has been out of his to at least attempt to build his name is actually laughable. Froch has fought and beat so many top contenders that the average boxing fan would know. he lost to andre ward who IMO is probably the second best fighter in the world right now, behind mayweather and above pacquiao and he will prove that again against Dawson and he had an extremely close war with kessler, who doesnt seem too interested in fighting Froch again after he battered Bute and has priced himself out of a rematch for the time being. I dont see how you can say he is avoided? if he would actually leave his HOMETOWN of Indonesia where he is considered a god there, and travel to make big fights it could be done. But like Marquez, who the fuck wants to travel to Indonsia to get robbed and paid fuck all NOBODY !!!! He came to amercia to fight Rocky Juarez and didnt really impress there did he ?? cos he isnt even that good... and i stand by calling him sven ottke, because if he actually pushed and called out some of these big names and came stateside these fights would be made regardless of you saying "HES AN AVOIDED FIGHTER" Is he fuck, he just doesnt want to lose that "0" and doesnt want to upset all of his Indonesian fans who couldnt see such an important person to them lose.

Great work Tam. The fact that he is chasing 50 means he will not risk any decent fighter at this stage. Lets hope there is a Spinks out there to ruin his celebration.

I rather like Indonesia, and have some holidays coming up. I'm a little over the limit and it's almost twenty years since I laced up any gloves.

Too much of a threat, or could I be one of the last lucky few? I'll fight him for a cold beer and a plate of nasi goreng. Not like he's gonna go at me like a buzz saw, is it?

I think if he put together 3 BIG wins before he retired (Gamboa, Salido, Caballero, Juanma, ect, ect), it's still quite an impressive feat to make it to 50-0 with a name like JMM on your resume (even if it's the only real name on your resume haha).
