Any truth in this rumour?

Well, that will keep the cut men busy! I guess if Hatton wants to find out if he' still got it then Katsidis will certainly give him the answer. It will be a torrid fight, Hatton should win, but i wonder if it's going to be the answer he really wants to know?

It would be brutal for sure.

Not sure if Hatton could take the shots Katsidis would throw.

Apparently it is going to be called off after @TitoFan disagreed with Hatton's choice of opponent. Katsidis has turned down the opportunity to have one last roll of the dice with a fellow warrior and said that Titofan was right, "It's a complete mismatch as last time out despite throwing over a thousand punches in ten rounds I realised that Ricky Hatton is on a whole other level to Albert Mensah. Consequently I would like to finish by fighting a journey man who is no great shakes because I have always been a a saftey first cautious and timid fighter anyway, Thanks Titty, you are a legend"

Kats has lost 4 of his last 5, the last one being to Mensah. I don't like to say this about any prize fighter but I think he's shot and is way to small for 147.

@Greenbeanz, talk about predictable. Over half the forum disagrees with Hatton's choice of opponent, but as usual and as in every single disagreement, you single me out. You gotta quit this embarrassing man-crush you have on me.... it's a bit pathetic, don't you think? Maybe you don't like my straight-forward style. Maybe you don't like my nickname. Maybe you don't like Puerto Ricans. Either way.... please continue with your insults. I'm having a blast making fun of your ass.

Same views here. It is a name and a comeback fight on the back of a 3 year hiatus and an awfully tough to stomach KO loss. Katsidis goes up a weight and Hatton gets to see if his own chin exists. Sure, Katsidis is on the downturn, but potentially Hatton already was and he's been out 3 years. It all evens out into a very good fight.

I think it is a superb matchup and more than I was expecting.

I think it is a superb matchup and more than I was expecting.

Katsidis is definitely on the slide, but he will be a good guide for Hatton and he will be there right in front of him from the start. I can't see the point in Hatton fighting someone who will run from him all night. If he wants to know if he should continue then Katsidis will be a good test.

Over half the forum? Where did you pull such an unsubstantiated assertion from? I have no problem with any nationality so I am perplexed as to quite where your persecution complex comes from. Your obsession with same day weigh ins and absolute conformity would actually endanger the health of participants. You seem to have completely ignored Katsidis clearly calling for the fight himself whilst Ricky was retired. Your crass anti Hatton rants are becoming tiresome.
