Looks like a great weekend of boxing, Vanes is a strange looking SOB.

This is going to look like Lara - Williams. Lara is going to fuck him up.
Looking forward to this one. Hopefully Lara is motivated and pumped to go in and torch Vanes because I think he has looked bored and just watching the clock in last fight vs a guy Berto ko'd with one punch in the 1st round. I had Carlos Molina beating him. Vanes is hungry and steady and though on pedigree its a big gap...I think we get a solid mutual fight here where Lara can be pushed.
Really lookin forward to this one. I like Lara. He had a tough night against Molina, but he certainly isn;t the first. So did Kirkland, after he absolutely straightened out Alfredo Angulo too.
Lara is a very good fighter I think and has upped his game since the Molina fight. I have Lara by WIDE UD....
I thought this was going to be on Box Nation but can't see it anywhere?
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I'm going to go with an upset here and pick Vanes.
This card starts tonight @9:45 PM ET here in the States and @2:45 AM Sunday in the UK/Europe.
Nov. 10
At Las Vegas (HBO): Vanes Martirosyan vs. Erislandy Lara, 12 rounds, WBC junior middleweight eliminator; Miguel Angel "Mikey" Garcia vs. Jonathan Barros, 10 rounds, junior lightweights; Jesse Magdaleno vs. Jose Silveira, 8 rounds, junior featherweights
Lara is a big betting favorite (-700). He should be. He's been in with better fighters, including Molina and Williams. He's also a southpaw, and he appears faster of foot than Vanes. Vanes has pedigree himself (former Olympian), but I've always wondered why he has been moved so slowly. He's one those guys who hasn't taken risky fights, content on waiting for a pay day against a name, which hasn't come. This is his first truly risky fight. It seems like a dumb risk too considering it is doubtful that Canelo faces the winner of this fight if he can face Martinez, Cotto or Mayweather for big-time m$ney.
Alrighty, here we go with the HBO BAD card (a double header), Papa, Kellerman, and Jones Jr. calling the action, first up Miguel Angel "Mikey" Garcia vs. Jonathan Barros, 10 rounds, junior lightweights.
The main: Vanes Martirosyan vs. Erislandy Lara, 12 round will be up next.
Lara wins on points.
