Default Fury v Price - Early Exchanges of the pre-fight Maloney v Hennessey sparring

Interesting statement on fightnews this morning from Frank Maloney - apparently the offer to Tyson Fury of a guaranteed £650,000 to fight David Price next summer is a 'joke'. I'd happily take that 'joke' myself to fight David Price, but seriously Fury can't be making that much on channel 5.

I'm starting to think that he may be playing the Enzo Maccarinelli role in the Haye v Macca bout, and that if they do get in the ring Price will demolish him. Fury's a big lad that has been developing, but he is still prone to being rattled, and doesn't look good when he's being pressed. I suspect the fight won't be made until after Fury manages to get a fight with a Klitschko. After all, there's no shame losing to a Klitschko.

honestly dude i dont think he thinks like that

what would i do if i was fury? theres a chance he will fight a big name like areola or adamek next time

more exposure than fighting price and probably less risk

currently i dont see the point in fighting price right now appart from a bigger single pay cheque

in the long run he will more than likely make a lot more the way he is heading

I think this is a clear reason for ducking the fight. Fury knows that he can fight Wlad/Vitali and gain exposure as a world title challenger. That will all go away if he fights David Price. Price is too big a risk and despite the high pay offer, Fury knows that getting KO'ed pretty much ends his chance to earn big paydays. If Price wins a world title, he'll be looking for that fight.

    youre looking at it negatively

im sure fury believes he will win the fight if it happens, i dont think he is thinking im not fighting price coz he will beat me

its a fight he doesnt need right now so why take it

KO price and he is about as known after it as he is now

a fury price fight could be worth millions in a couple of years if things pan out

KO Areola and he is much bigger news

I think that Arreola is a big puncher too, and for Fury not to take a big money offer against Price puts him at risk of being KO'd by Arreola or someone similar in a fight where he will only make a fraction of the money but will end up not getting the big money or the title shot.

maybe youre right, maybe they are risking never getting the big money fight by not taking price now

Fury is closer to a title fight than Price which is why the this fight may not be made. It could be made like Groves and De Gale was. Price has looked very impressive and probably fancies his chances against a sometimes vulnerable Fury.

If I was Fury I would try and take on an Adamek or Arreleo for the vacant title when Vitali retires and then come back and take on Price for the world title trinket.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
