I'll guess Floyd Patterson and Tracy Patterson if they count, I know Tracy was technically adopted.

I would agree with Bean but I'm not 100% sure.

If Tracy and Floyd are wrong, I'll throw Leon and Cory Spinks into the mix!

I thought of them too. Cory is such a pathetic excuse for a champion though it pained me to say it.

It just came off the top of my head over my first morning java. I took the question in my fog to mean first father/son team ie dad as trainer.

    My humblest apologies.

Hahah, truth be told the only reason I remembered he was a champ is because I remember Zab Judah beating his ass in front of his home crowd for the crown.

    Chavez and Chavez jr
Gustavo Espadas and Gustavo Espadas jr (son did it in 2000)
Jorge paez and Jorge paez jr
Ali and laila? (If we're not being sexist)

    Can't think of any more.

Future- Monk Foreman? Chris Eubanks jr? I hope.

Jorge Paez Jr never has won nor has he ever fought for a world title so that one is out

Wilfredo Vazquez Sr and Jr both have won world titles and they're the first father and son duo to win titles in the same weight class

Paez Jr won the WBC Youth World welterweight title.

Which is technically a world title.

But to be fair I was clutching at straws and kinda knew it wouldn't count lol.

I knew the Vazquez one but I never knew it was the same weight class.

that's more of a regional or interim title type thing, not really a world title
