Default Keith Thurman vs. Jan Zavack, March 9th, on Hopkins/Cloud Undercard

Thurman vs. Zaveck on The Horizon For March 9th? - Boxing News

Cracking undercard welterweight fight. Some really good cards getting announced already for this year. I expect Thurman to take it but they are testing him nicely on the way up.

This Jan Zavack handled himself well against Berto at 147, but he'll be ocming up in weight to 154 to face Thurman I imagine.

I like Keith Thurman, you can tell he's still in love with boxing and hasn't been jaded by the business yet. He wants to be a world champion and the best and he brings it.

Should be another calculated, good test for Keith.

Nope, it is a Welterweight contest at 147. Apparently they haven't made their mind up were Keith will make his home yet.

Yes I shoulda read the article first before posting.

The Quintana fight threw me off. Recently Thurman was in a lil twitter war with Randall Bailey, so that too should have clued me in he's fighting at welterweight.

Thurman is abit gimmicky and too rehearsed ala some professional wrestler...BUT he is all action and %100 commited to a strength game. I'm not convinced that his game will see him fair well yet as he's raw with much too learn but as far as the fans, we win! This should be a good fight and quality fithsdicuthss!

Thurman physically looks to be pushing an easy jr middle limit and think he'll go up after this.

Yes he is, seems to have that gleam in his eye, seems to enjoy the euphoria of battle...

I think Thurman gets him outta there in the middle rounds. Zaveck best chance IMO is to drag the fight into the later rounds where Thurman might gas.

Agreed. I think it will be a tough gruelling battle too so the chances of Thurman gassing down the stretch could be high
