If they both win their next fights the WBC will order this fight. If one doesn't accept he will be forced to vacate. There is no good reason this shouldn't happen. Both promoted by Golden Boy, both WBC Champions, both at the top of the division. They have to make this. Mattheysse isn't going to say no, so if Danny vacates, I'd love to hear Angel Garcia give a good reason why.

I bloody well hope this fight happens. It'll be terrific. This is one of the best fights at 140, the division is stacked!

Danny's good. But Lucas is a freaking machine.
It would likely be a FOTY candidate.

Solid solid match! Part of me thinks the wbc doesn't like Garcia though. It's a massive leap to go from blowing out the shadow of the shadow of Morales to a literal wrecking ball. Garcia better keep his head and honestly not read too much into that left hook trying to play power with Mattheysse or he might end up in Daddys lap. Very solid scrap and two guys who deserve big things!

Anyone who has a good chance of beating Garcia and seeing his dad cry gets my support any time.

There's no way that I would miss this fight.

I fancy the Argie in this one if it happens.

Garcia KO'd an overweight over the hill Morales and a glass chinned Khan ..... yet to KO anyone of substance. I think his dad is an idiot who will only fuel Jr's opponents to KO him out and silence them both. Mattheysse is gonna make the two Garcias' cry in pain. Fake ARUM work by GBP, Jr'a next foe is Zab who was recently stopped by Khan. Add a couple of SD wins over Holt and Campbell and you have a carefullyy guided over rated champion. Thhhhhaaaank the godddsssss!!!! Been waiting for Matthysse to fight a top notch contender in a long time. Although, Ajose Olesegun was one hell of an opponent. Pardon, he still is a hell of fighter. I hope he fights more also.

Finally someone said it. Garcia is so overrated. Would love to see Zab beat him but very unlikely given Judah is some flake. Matthysse to win by KO.
