Default Is Kimbo the new Butterbean??

Kimbo (Kevin Ferguson) is entertaining....he has no skills and hes ready to get knocked out sooner rather than later. Will he ever step up his competition and will he ever go more than 4 rounds.....my answer is a BIG NO!!!!

He is 7-0 with 6 stoppages so far.......he nearly got KTFO in his last fight and looked like he needs to stop watching his street fights on Utube and learn to throw a decent jab.....will his people keep feeding him no hopers to extend his unbeaten run to 40-0 38 knock outs before he gets beat....making Kimbo into nothing more than a circus act like Butterbean was......Did Butterbean have more skills than Kimbo and my answer is YES.....any boxer who goes 10 rounds with old Larry gets my vote in skills.......but Butterbean was a ugly fat pug who fought 99% no hopers and the crowd loved it....well most of them did any how!!!!

Kimbo v Butterbean (King of the the 4 rounders)!!!!

    Who would win

Job Biscuit (circus acts get my vote...they DO belong)!!!!

I don't think he's quite on the level of a Butterbean (LOL).... Butterbean could take a punch for one thing. He could handle getting tagged occasionally by one of the stiffs he fought.

Kimbo nearly got railed by a 6-6 bum. It was like Hagler/Hearns of the tards.

All Kimbo has done is bring his streetfighting mania into the ring... the fought fat bums as a streetfighter and as a boxer nothing has changed.

saying all that I enjoyed watching that fight but it will be a short lived career if he ever steps up... I can almost hear Audley harrison shouting him out

A circus act that gets more attention that really talented fighters. It's a shame fighters like Slice get more attention than the genuinely promising youngsters who are coming through and deserve to actually have the support they richly deserve.

Exactly, Butterbean would have walked through those shots and for as fat as Butterbean was his stamina was good, he could swing hard the entire fight whereas this dopey kimbo is blowing half way though the first!

Butterbean now would beat kimbo. Mayorga now would beat Kimbo

Kimbo is more the new Micky Rourke or Mark Gastineau. Minus the mullet or terrifying plastic surgery of course.

He will probably move out here to the real circus event, there are no end of ex boxers out here who are now puddings that could relive a spot in a light. Mundine will eventually call him out.

Kimbo is a popular punching bag for people, but I would argue he does have some skill. He is not completely devoid of any skill as the OP says. I mean its not like he's Brian Sutherland or Tex Cobb's son out there. Kimbo is trained by world class trainer John David Jackson, and displayed pretty good head movement, punching power and heart to come back from being rocked.

He's making the most of what he's got as he did in mma, obviously the man turned to combat sports too late in life to really ever become world class. Add in his previously injured knee from football if I'm not mistaken and he's not going to set the world on fire. Monte Barrett, old Oliver McCall or Jameel McCline would all most likely crush him in a round or so. They WERE world class, Kimbo never will be.

But, does have more boxing skill than most negative posters on here that is for sure. And A LOT more balls.

    He showed none of that!

His head movement is non existant or he wouldnt have been caught so many times in just 2 rounds by someone so a fat and out of shape! Kimbo also caught him a fair few times on the chin and couldnt really hurt him, they were both pathetically out of shape and puffing by midway throu the first round! Thats not a world class trainer. The only reason he didnt get finished inside the first 30 seconds is the aussy was knackered already

Hey guys didn't get to see any of the fights but am glad some of my fellow Novacastrians won, Jamie Pittman and Daniel Amman at super middle and cruiser weight on the under card. Here is the Kimbo slice fight for those who are interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsoDq5AsL8A

Fighting a guy who retire more than 16 years ago seems more Butterbean than Holyfield.
