Default Who will be the next heavyweight champ?

Guys, who do you think in the divison today will topple the klit brothers?

Im not Wlads biggest fan but out of boxing he seems like a nice guy so lets try to refrain from slaying his boxing style..or bringing up how he would compete against past fighters.

Is it Haye? Is it wilder? Price or Fury?

Who do you really think can do it?

I say Wlad will retire or at least go another few years before he gets beat, as I don't see anyone in the HW division toppling him.

It's hard to say who'll be the next champ because it's really hard for guys to shine in that division when K2 are head and shoulders above everyone.

My guess would be either Helenius (who I'm still optimistic about even though he rightfully lost to Chisora), Price or Odlanier Solis.

Hopefully, someone with less than 20% body fat (i.e. no man boobs).

Good question I think we're entering an era (post Klitschko's) much like right after Lewis retired. We will have guys who hold titles but who aren't Champions. You no doubt remember the Chris Byrd's & John Ruiz's of that time...well coming up soon we'll have guys like Arreola, Stiverne, Price, Fury, Jennings, Wilder, Hanks, Adamek, Pulev, etc duking it out to see who is the best & honestly nobody to me is a standout.

I do think we will get fights that are more even and due to that there will be more excitement because guys won't just show up for a paycheck.

The best up-and-coming HWs are probably Price and Pulev.

Glazkov, Fury, Jennings and Wilder are other possible titleholders of the future.

I agree with Lyle that we will have a few years with the current crop or contenders & prospects handing the belts around once the Klitschko's leave

I don't think we'll see anyone dominate for awhile, it will probably someone who hasn't even turned pro yet, with the increased success of WSB I think we will see a star emerge from there in the future...

    Lol.

The great thing about the klits is that even though they have the advantage of being bigger than everyone else its the fact they come to fight in perfect physical condition.

The fight is already lost when an opponent is in the ring and looks at Wlad in his massive square shoulder robe and stature.

I still think that any out of the four i mentioned in haye, price, fury or wilder if they aim to fight Wlad from the start and view it as a 3 round fight that is a big advantage for them as Wlad does not like to fight (neither does floyd).

They need to get pass the jab and go to war..

Exactly. Gotta give credit where credit is due. The Klits always maintain themselves in top physical condition. It should be part of the job description as a heavyweight, but unfortunately it isn't. Too many HW's out there think they're exempt from having to look like athletes... all they need is the puncher's chance.

And yes... Wlad needs to face someone who's not afraid to fight.
Someone who's not defeated by the time he walks into the ring.

be 2017 before anyone fo significance comes up. By 2017 NONE of the guys above will be fighting anymore. Guaranteed there is NO helenius, no price, no fury, no adamek, no povetkin, to valuev, no chisora, no haye, no arreola, etc... they will all be gone because they were all wankers and tossers and nancy boys, sissies, queers, faggots, cocksuckers, bra-boys, titty-boys, burrito-eating lumps of modern new=age bullshit that Joe Walcott even at 38 woulda wiped the fucking floor with inside of 4 rounds.

    All in 1 night too.

They might be true brock, but these are the fighters we have now.

2017 is only 5 years away and fury is only 24. Fury is not the front runner but he has some potential.

Deontay wilder opposition needs to greatly improve and he needs to work that jab once an awhile.

Haye needs to just forget vitali and concentrate on being a heavyweight that fights.
