    Default Dangerous Dogs

Why would anyone want to keep a dangerous dog. With the latest death of Jade Anderson 14 years being ripped apart and killed by 5 dogs makes me wonder why anyone would keep them especially around children. They will introduce dogs being chipped and registered but that will not make a difference. all dogs have teeth and can bite, (1 of the dogs was not involved) they acted as a pack once one would have started the attack, no one knows what triggered the attack.
She wasn't ripped apart. She was on their territory and clearly was not seen as above the alpha.

It doesn't look like they were kept in the best conditions, small house with 5 dogs.

I grew up round a staffie, lovely dog around people, would she bite someone? Yes if provoked.

There is 5 dogs in a small house, ALL DOGS CAN BE DANGEROUS , regardless of breed type
dogs have teeth they can bite simple. If your dog is a biter, put it down no if's or buts remember
one day it may bite you. As I have said bull breeds, ARE NOT, for ever one.
Some people will not admit, there dog is nasty in the end it turn on them, I have told many
people that there dog is a bad one, simple put it down they have ended up being badly
    bitten.

As tragic as it is, the "owner" in this case was the real dangerous one. These are animals..not play toys, not gifts and as is far too common seen with this specific breed...not a short cut to revenue via breeding! You do not keep 5 Bull terriers, Mastiffs etc cooped up in a small home and basically leave an unfamiliar total stranger alone. Every single dog has potential to react aggressively if they feel territory, pack, is threatened. That extends to 'protecting' family members, cars, couches, food bowls. I cannot tell you how many people I have seen bitten when trying to take a pet from the arms of the owner or some newbie reaching into a kennel trying to leash a dog. Wonder what the history is on these dogs? Do you have a mandatory quarentine overthere in random bite cases?

Also, someone needs to boot that 15 yr old kid in the ass and tell him not everything needs to be on fookin Facebook.

Dog ownership is the same as gun ownership, same as car ownership, they can all kill if you arent level headed and take any of them for granted.

Too many chavs consider its their right to own instead of something they should earn the right to own.

Maybe an IQ combined with a stress test combined with a morals test for prospective owners is the answer, fail and you dont get the right to own any of them.

That last part might be a slippery slope mate. I could see that applied to the same mental midgets aka Chavs in regards to raising children

Then again you might be onto something

no quarantine regarding dog bites, happily we don't have rabies.
we used to have dog licences a long time ago.

some people shouldn't be allowed to keep dogs, breed, breathe air etc..

We show great concern about dogs, but we show little concern about people breeding kids,
no license no competent test,!. They just breed people are the problem, not the dogs most
dog owners are reasonable people. Irresponsible people do Irresponsible things its a fact,
its not rocket science, a dip shit is a dips shit, and there is a few dips shits out there, with
    and without dogs.

Dogs behave like the people that own them.

Some breeds are more dangerous than others. Why are people allowed such dangerous animals?

I agree mostly Scrap, but only to a certain extent. They also have their own personalities. Some dogs are just dumb, some smart. Some naturally funny. Bearing all that in mind I just tried to adopt one from the humane society, much like mine once was when I got her, terribly abused. Near the brink of death from malnutrition. Mine was beat to beyond an inch of it's life too by some horrible excuse for a human.

Doubt I will get it though because everyone wants her now after a newspaper article on the story. But hope it pulls thru and gets the chance at a good home. These kind of dogs take a lot of work but can make the best pets if you give them a chance. This is what someone did to it.

mine used to look worse than that. this is her today at 12 1/2 years old:
