Before the douglas fight? He looked sluggish diving in.
It was a sweet shot, as they say the begin of the end!
Never seen that before. Great find mate

Thanks mate. I had seen him on the deck AFTER the punch, but I also had never seen the footwork and the punches right up to the punch that put him down. It was a cracking right hand lead by Greg Page. wasnt it sweet, right on the button and Tyson kinda just slumped down without a sound. Odd kind of moment there, that silence and all.
I have seen that knockdown just not the whole segment. Tyson was in poor condition , he team were in shambles and Douglas was inspired. Wished I put all my money on Douglas winning that fight.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Never realized he was cut as well as dropped off a right. Nice.
Have to love the slow mo dramatic theme music they put in as King sits there all alone
That's not Greg Page. That's Oliver McCall!
No its Greg Page you can tell by the footwork, Greg Page was a poor man's Muhammad Ali. There's footage of Oliver McCall sparring Mike Tyson and McCall walked out of the ring complaining.
Greg Page had the tools to be a very good fighter, but he was too lazy and his prime was very short. He went from being one of the best Heavyweight prospects, to a journeyman who got stopped twice by someone like Mark Willis, talk about a fall from grace.
When it happened, it wasn't hushed up and every fight fan saw it. As Larry Merchant said, guys get knocked down in sparring all the time. Don't read too much into it. It was unusual just because it was Tyson and he had the aura of invincibility at the time. Considered pound-for-pound #1 at the time.
wow, did they actually stop the sparring afterwards?
Just shows what happens when you spar thinking you have something to prove.
I feel bad for Greg Page. He was in a horrible car crash that ruined his life and I believe he passed away recently.
Sad he is mostly remembered for dropping Mike Tyson in sparring. That seems to be his legacy. He seemed like a nice man from the piece I saw on him after his accident.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
You say tomato,
‘n I say …… it correctly.
