I hope this happens. Only one winner for me and he isn't from down under.
Really good match up for both fighters this one, I'm really looking forward to this one.
Just a great, great fight to make. Barker has looked sharp since the Martinez loss. I think he's one of the rare ones that learns from his loss and uses it as part of his motivation.
Fantastic fight. I was hoping one of them would face Kid Chocolate, but this is just as good.
I hope this is on Box Nation and Barker wins.
Our British contender like Barker, Macklin and Murray are too busy trying to win titles to fight one another just yet which is annoying.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
In no way will it be on Boxnation. If this happens it will be on Sky as Barker is a Matchroom fighter. The only reason Groves was back on Boxnation was because they got him a short notice, keep busy fight on a card that Boxnation had already bought.
As for the fight, this is Barker's big chance to be a World Champion. Of the 4, Geale is the weakest champion for me so this represents Barker's best chance. If it doesn't happen this time, it likely never will, but I expect he will want this so badly he could sneak it. Hopefully Hearn can negotiate a UK fight rather than him going down under.
To be fair Kid chocolate, GGG and Sergio are great names to be behind for Geale. Maybe Sergio has slipped a bit too.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Boxing News | Geale-Barker finalized for August 17 at Turning Stone
Gary Shaw Productions has announced the finalization of a fight between IBF champion Daniel Geale (29-1, 15 KOs) and highly regarded contender Darren Barker (25-1, 16 KOs). The 12-round championship bout will take place at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York on August 17 and will be televised live on HBO.
I only think Barker will win this if its in England.
God you sound like a scratched record. We get it you don't rate Barker. He would beat Geale in Australia and Macklin even if they fought one half in Dublin, and the other 6 rounds in Birmingham. Lucky for both fighters it's in the States and so nobody has to suffer the indignity of people with chips on their shoulders calling hometown decisions before a punch has even been thrown.
It's on in New York in august apparently
