Default Insane thread - Mayweather vs Fury - Honest opinions!

Honest opinions on how this fight would go in the boxing ring with the usual rules!? How many rounds could a 154lb Mayweather go for - could he hurt fury with his his speed? Knock him down? Win even?

Cunningham just got me thinking is all - pre fight he said how his advantage would be speed because he was the smaller man and it's true - espesh for a master boxer against someone who is generally quite clumsy!

Floyd would have to stick and move for 12 rounds , but no I don't reckon he would knock fury out and if he got hit by a heavyweight he would get KTFO.

Obviously Mayweather would get KO'd if Fury landed anything significant, which he would. Take this fight when Mayweather was 25 to 30 years old, and he may have been able to run around the ring for 12 rounds.

I think the smallest fighters that would stand any sort of realistic chance with Fury would be Kessler and Froch. Ward wouldnt get to clinch like he does and the reason he does it is his style has adapted since he got dropped while pretending to be Roy Jones. Kessler and Froch are strong enough to live with him but both are prone to taking punches.

A super middle weight dropped Haye so anything is possible.

Id have loved to see the raging welterweight version of Mayorga with a few of todays big men. He may not last long but he would have certainly given them a fight.

Naz used to love sparring with heavy's at the ingles gym and got the better of them... until one day one connected and decked him with a shot and I think they stopped him doing it after that

the question is does a good big one beat a outstanding little one and over 12 rounds I would guess the answer is most defiantly yes

Fury would just hug the life out of him, smother him with forearms and then club him.

I'd love to see it though. An all weight prizefighter, I bet there would be some surprises and bigger wouldn't always win.

Mayweather would knock him out. He beat the Big Show at Wrestlemania for Fucks sake, and he's 7'0" easy!

i know i fight/sparr at a very low level but for me even fighting someone slightly heavier/bigger is a huge difference

ive sparred a few guys in the 90 odd kilo range where as i am 85 tops and there is a massive difference in the weight of their punches

the fight would last as long as mayweather could run, 2 rounds ?

Yes but unlike Fury, they both have good punch resistance.

Fury would only need to swing wildly at his mid section, if he hits once its over.

If a ex-cruiserweight champion cannot live with Fury then how in the world would Floyd do it. There is no hiding place in the ring, Floyd would be chased out. This thread is as dumb as the infamous Tyson v Ricardo Lopez thread.
