Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Hopefully Wlad makes quick work of Pianeta who is decent albeit untested at the highest levels of boxing. We don't know a lot about Pianeta other than he drew vs Sosnowski (who is a tough s.o.b as he proved vs Vitali), and he's never lost a fight. He's never been down that I know of and he's not been hurt that I know of either, though I admit I haven't really sought out that information. Pianeta is big, he has a decent punch, maybe Dimitrenko kind of power, but he's not a slugger he will look to outbox Wladimir and we'll see how that works for him. I hope Wlad just decides to end it early because Pianeta doesn't belong in the same ring with him.
Here's a HL of Pianeta for those unfamiliar with him

"Pianeta" is too close to "pinata"
You're thread is a rip off of mine

You say tomato,
‘n I say …… it correctly.
This is going ti be a worse beatdown then against Wach...
I will watch just to see what round Wlad ends it I guess
Boxing fans I know are talking about Floyds contract and even his bout with Robert no one talks about Wlads fight with Pianeta. Honestly his fights are horrible and its more like a regional fight than a a world wide heavyweight title. No one cares about the champion of Utah or the fight in Serbia or where ever!!! Third and forth tier caliber fighting a second tier fighter has no interest to me, seen him and a few times is enough. Ray
Really not alot to gain by drumming an unknown and rarely to barely tested Pianeta. These are the type of just to stay busy and be payed showcases that make me crave huge upsets for the sake of breaking stagnation. Might end up mowing the lawn.
Pianeta is:
BoxRec #15
WBO #9
WBA #12
- undefeated 28-0
- never been knocked down as an amateur or as a pro
- 6'5", 240 pounds (no blown up cruiserweight)
- young at age 28 and in his physical prime (no shot old guy)
- active, he fought 4 times in 2012
- a southpaw (more difficult style for the champ)
- a known name in Germany, makes the fight bigger there
Decent opponent for Wlad right now, as long as he fights Povetkin in late summer.
Another uneventful UD victory for Wlad.
