Mercer by UD or late stoppage

    Morrison by KO

Want to give some background on why the fights didn't happen?

I think it was set up for late 94. Oct-Nov. I don't think Morrison and Mercer did any favors helping the build up and cash flow when they appeared on the same card. Mercer was really out of shape and was lucky to escape with a "D" in a fight he looked to be out worked vs hard as nails Marion Wilson. Morrison found himself in a war with Ross Purity and I thought Purity won off the 2 knockdowns.

I'd give Hide a shot strictly off fast type power and Morrisons stamina lapses. Could he stay mobile without being cornered and running into Morrisons power the entire night..doubt it. But I can easily see Morrison in serious trouble before its over and done with.

Mercer was really Helter Skelter. He looked terrible with Fergusson and a slob with Wilson and if he showed up same vs Bruno he could be really outboxed and held off with Brunos pop. Then again he retooled and looked top notch after card was scraped when waring with Holyfield in next fight. If the in shape Mercer fighting off that stubby hard jab went with Bruno he would grind his way to a dec.

I was reading Boxing monthly and basically the promoter did not have the money to for the event so it was called off at the last minute. Mercer had a solid chin and Bruno could hit so I always wondered which would give way first.

Mercer had a neck injury and needed surgery. Also after his "loss" to Lewis he was discouraged.

Morrison was sucking so much cock and pussy (at the same time too, I read) out in Wyoming watching John Wayne movies that I think he was lazy and didnt seem to push himself too hard.

Mercer had hepatitis didn't he? I think he had a long layoff due to that.

Didn't Morrison do roids AND get pec implants?

Morrison vs Hide... I'd go with Morrison but Herbie definitely had the power and speed to end Morrison's night at any time.

Have to go with Mercer against Bruno as well.
