Found this interesting. This is vaguely what a bout between Froch and Calzaghe would look like

Andre Ward vs prime Calzaghe would have been a compeditive fight.

Andre Ward vs a 41 year old Calzaghe who's been out of the sport for 5 years? That's a mismatch.

Calzaghe has his undefeated record and some good wins over guys like Kessler and Hopkins. He should shut his mouth and stay retired.

I think Ward would have been a relatively straightforward fight for Calzaghe. It would have been a spoiler fight induced by Ward, but Calzaghe was a massive leap above anything Ward has faced.

Calzaghe has too many strings to his bow and the killer blow is that Ward has stamina issues and would be in with a man who doesn't tire nor slow. Ward can buy time and try to headbutt, but he is always going to be outworked by Calzaghe.

As for silly suggestions of Calzaghe coming back, it is never going to happen and it would obviously not work were he to do so. He has never even suggested that he would come back.
