I just saw a breaking news clip that you now have a new prince. Congrats. I've never understood the fascination with English Royalty (being a Yank) but I do know that it's quite a big deal. There are many things about Americans that people don't quite get! Who knows, maybe he'll grow up to be welterweight champ.

I really really think the coverage is ridiculous. So do most British people. I really care very little.
As with most things royal it is more the media inventing the interest rather than reporting the interest.

I totally disagree, I have served the queen for 10 years and plan to see out my career in my chosen profession. The royal family do a lot for this country without shouting about it. It's the horrible journalists who like to spread shit!
What other country sends their third in line (now fourth I believe) to war and still he carries this out with dignity and honour.
God save the queen and bless the new heir to the throne!

YOU think it's ridiculous...how do you think Americans feel? The Revolution and the Rematch in 1812 and we're fucking STILL getting bombarded with "Ooooh there's a new royal baby"....when will the Royals ever take a fucking hint. We don't care about the Queen, she's nice and all but that's YOUR deal, we don't do that, we don't care about Princess Di or the horse she married or the other inbred monsters that have been hatched over the decades...we simply don't care.

My girlfriend cares and she's American. She had me DVR the Royal Wedding (8 hours long). If you don't care for it then ignore it, but to speak with such disdain actually is giving it the very attention that you say you despise. I'm not too much interested in it, but I respect it's historical relevance. I just think media hijacks it a bit.

Most Brits I'm sure get pissed off with the media hype, but that's no reason to insult the monarchy.
If you think a presidential system is better, then look back to 'Saint' John Kennedy, who's father wanted America to side with the Germans in WW2, his next claim to fame was that a film actress (that he was shagging) sang 'happy birthday Mr. President' to him at a party, then you yanks went out and shot him!

I just programmed it, I had no idea it was going to be 8 gdammmm hours long. In my defense, I only watched the actual part where they were at the altar.

No sympathy.

If a homeless man has enough about him to beg, he has enough to earn a good living. Most wouldn't have the shame to sit and beg for money rather than earn.

All men will never be equal because all men dont have the same work ethic, if they did, the heavyweight division for example would be alot more competitive and Tyson fury wouldn't be in the top 4 or 5 as he is right now

Those who are rich worked their way there, if they didn't then someone down the line in their family did, so they didn't have to. Cant begrudge someone looking after their family. Everyone has the same choices in life, work or don't work.

Another bank holiday no doubt and if you are a business owner and not in London you will lose another day for poxy royal event bank holidays. Never mind, theres another on the way for the coronation of William...
