MOSELY DOWN UNDER?
MUNDINE, meanwhile, says he is working hard to bring faded legend Shane Mosley to Australia later this year for a junior-middleweight clash.
Mosley, 42 in September, was one of the finest fighters of his generation, posting wins over Oscar de la Hoya, Fernando Vargas and Antonio Margarito, while suffering points defeats to Floyd Mayweather Jr, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel
Cotto, Winky Wright (twice), Vernon Forrest (twice) and Saul Alvarez.
Mundine holds a 44-5 (26 knockouts) record while Mosley is 47-8 (39 KOs).
Mosley last fought in Cancun, Mexico, where he beat Pablo Cesar Cano in May, his first win in five fights.
This gets me depressed for a few reasons. Hope Shane stays home.
Read a book about Fenech, he handle brittle hands but was tough as nails. Love the guy.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
A well deserved honour.
I watched him fight quite a few times and when I could, I read what I thought was the best boxing magazines out there since I felt that most sports pages in newspapers treated boxing like an evil step child. Mr. Fenech was fantastic considering his hands were brittle. I felt that he won that first fight with Ahzuma Nelson but that's all water under the bridge now. Congratulations Jeff on a great career so far. I am waiting to see unless he is already there a place in the hall of fame in New York.
