hahahaha funny shit, trying to wave off the fact that the dumb bitch was caught, and act so naive to the fact that boxing is as corrupt as it is today, this holds as much ground as Panama Lewis' claiming that he never cheated, the evidence was presented, and he was shown to be a cheat, FACTS speak for themselves, Margarito never went on to win a significant fight after being EXPOSED, he beat a nobody in Mexico, and then got his ass handed to him badly in every one of his losses, that's no coincidence, they can try to play him out to be some type of victim but facts speak for themselves, Luis Resto is a piece of shit for what he did in the Collins fight but he at least had the balls to admit it afterwards and not keep on the charade that he was innocent, just sad really
I think it's highly unlikely he used them for the first time against Mosley, just doesn't make much sense to me. However, his decline after that fight is hardly evidence of this. He was a guy who was never built to last, a pressure fighter who relied so much on his chin and conditioning, and Mosley beat the living shit out of him. Bottom line is we'll probably never know, but the fact that he even attempted to use them the one time makes him a complete piece of shit regardless.
Hey, it's been a while since I've seen Luis Resto, he's looking good.
More old hat it would seem.
Remember reality is an illusion caused by a lack of alcohol .
I have to say that in the second Cotto fight, while Margarito wasn't as aggressive, he was on the same pace for the same type of fight the first one was.
Cotto wasn't as marked up as he was in the first fight, but Margarito was even MORE tentative in the second fight.
With that: Manny Pacquioa had destroyed what was left of him after Mosely was finished with him. That Pac-man beating was the type of beating one retires off of. In fact, Margo's face was never the same- it never healed. Evidence of that injury coming back into play was seen in the second Cotto fight.
Margo did well by retiring after he made that money.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

This interview is so easy to pick apart that its not even worth going over all the lies and clear attempts to lessen the crime. Clearly a bias lying interview. So just a few things. Trace amounts like a pinch of salt Umm, if this was true then why had Arum or anybody in Margarito's team not ever shout this (lying) fact out in his defense? Here is what defeats that lie right away. How did Richardson feel trace amounts by grabbing the wrap? When Richardson came in to check on the hand wrap he said he immediately told the commission that this hand wrap is hard and it needs to be taken off. Thats hardly trace amounts buddy. Margarito claimed two things that can't even go together shows more guilt. He said he didn't know his trainer put that in his wraps. Which is impossible to not tell if you've ever had your hands wrapped you can feel if there is even too much gauze. But for the sake of argument we'll roll with this lie. He also says that was the only time that had happened and denies that he has done that throughout his career. Well, if you can't tell if someone put that in your wraps then how would you know if it had ever happened before? One last note. The interviewee implies that the trainer wrapping his hands in front of people in training without them knowing seems impossible. Well, if he would have thought that out he would have noticed he contradicted the trainer's own statement that he very well use to put these on Margarito during training on the heavy bag and they just got mixed in with the others. And besides, no one inspects your hand wraps during training so it would be easy to get away with in camp every single day. People who want Margarito to be looked at as a lesser piece of crap aren't going to use their reasoning anyway. Lets just let this crap die because nothing else is going to come of it anymore.
I always found it funny how Cotto's hoe's try to say Margarito had loaded wraps for there first fight. Bricks is what he had. Yet after the fight you can see Margarito with his wraps still on shaking hands with everybody (including Cotto before he ran out the ring refusing to be interviewed). Even when he was announced the winner Bayless grabs his hand and lifts his arm up. Yet nobody said anything about the bricks in his wraps. Wonder why?
