Cotto miro y fue magnÃfico. Lo mejor que ha mirado en anos.
he looked even better last night than he did in 2011 when he was schooling Margarito, he had the thud back into his punches and finally worked the body like the Cotto of old, the sky is the limit right now for him once again, he has plenty of options at 147 plenty of lucrative fights to be made, as well as a couple good ones at 154
147 - Khan, Garcia, Broner/Maidana winner, Guerrero, Marquez/Bradley winner, rematch with Floyd, etc.
154 - Canelo, Molina, Trout rematch, etc.
Hats off to Cotto for that performance. He looked pretty very confident, granted against lesser opposition but it showed that he was back to the Cotto of old.
If I was in Canelo's corner I would'nt be so eager to jump right in with this Cotto after the loss to Mayweather. I'd find it more intersting to see how Canelo bounces back against an opponent on the level of Delvin Rodriguez just to see if he just like Cotto still can distinguish himself easily from the lower level fighters. After a strong win against someone like Carlos Molina, Austin Trout (rematch), or Erislandy Lara.
Beating one of those fighters decisively would signify he was ready for the Cotto that showed up last night.
The key is Self-discipline.
cotto did look good, cannot criticise a near flawless performance.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I'd like to see Miguel Cotto vs.Danny Garcia at some point.
