    Default Quiggs next opponent

Surprise surprise it's another South American bum with a bloated record. Any reason this could not have been Frampton Or a fighter with a pulse. This is destroying Britains boxing. How a guy like this is getting a title shot is beyond me. Gets me thinking. If I move to Argentina and beat a few hobos I could be the next guy brought over to lose to some English hype job. Fuck you Eddie Hearns

He only fought last month give the guy a break. Frampton's team are clearly full of krap and should have secured a world title already if they want to be taken seriously. Destroying British Boxing ? English Hype Job? What happened to your calm detached neutrality ?

I'm not sure I've even seen Quigg keep meaning to check him out, how did his last fight go? Was that draw more or less BS? If it was a hard fight in any case then you can't expect any world beaters a month and a half later, he and Frampton have got to fight each other soon enough surely. Are they both with Matchroom?

Framton left matchroom because Barry mcguigan Wanted to start a promoting his fights and eddie Hearn wouldn't have non of it , so they have got a deal with Frank warren to be on boxnation

No bias from the guy from Dublin. lol
I thought Frampton was trying to get a fight with Martinez , so how is it Quigg's fault the match hasn't been made yet ?

Bit rich slating Quigg's opponent when Frampton just fought Jeremy Parodi.

The reason Quigg is not fighting Frampton is simple - Barry McGuigan. If they don't land the Kiko Martinez fight Barry is gonna look like a proper joker.

Scott is entitled to an optional after winning the title just like anyone else is to be fair. And he just beat the #2 guy to get the title and will have to do his mandatory Cermeno within 90 days. Besides Cruz is busy, he’s not getting Rigo and Kiko is busy.

I'm with u on that 1 , eddie offererd the fight with Quigg but framtons team are holding out hoping they get Kiko rematch and having a unification fight between the two , so the fight with Quigg wont happen for at least another year I recon, or unless framton returns to matchroom without Barry,

My point is that this should not be a world title fight. After winning a world title you shouldnt be allowed fight any bum. He would be better off fighting the likes of Dickens or another domestic fighter then this guy. Its an absolute joke and it is ruining the sport in Britain and Ireland. When you win a world title you should be fighting consistently at world level. If Rigo stepped in with this guy after beating Donaire he would be slated, why should Quigg be treated differently.

Ruining the sport? This is how boxing has worked for donkey's years since multiple "world" titles were accepted.

Quigg's opponent is ranked in the top 15 by the WBA. That means by their rules he's a worthy challenger for their belt. This is the same outfit that elevated Rigo to "super champion" therefore creating TWO WBA champions in the same division. Your problem should be with the WBA not Scott Quigg.

If Frampton wins a "world" title do you think he'll immediately be facing Rigo, Donaire, Cruz etc?
