Garcia would slaughter Gamboa...another rushed product who got run over by the hype wagon

Mikey going to be dominant for quite some time. Awesome talent.
    Good kid, too.

Yeah... it feels totally weird. I just hope some of these young prospects continue to develop and eventually get their shots. Rocky was always entertaining, but certainly not very skilled or gifted. Oh well....
I ain't lying. It actually is sad to say. It sucks they had to ruin Jonathan Gonzalez. I think he would of been the best bet to win a title. Him or Wonder Boy Lopez. Other than that I don't see much

I can't remember the last time we had a dry spell like this one. There's been up periods and down periods. But this is a major drought. And when I saw that Martinez was the last champ and he was going up against Garcia, I said...... oh-oh.

Well, I know you don't rate them too much. But I kinda like one of the Arroyo brothers' chances. McWilliams, to be exact. They need to get busier, but they have skills. Felix Verdejo looks pretty good, too. Still too early to tell, though.

Absolutely. He was Berto'd but more naturally gifted at the core. Honestly, Garcia should shoot higher

Rocky has all the heart, desire and quick hands he will ever need, everything else is robotic or maybe stilted, anyway less than smooth.
    Good win for Garcia.

A swarming Gamboa with fast combinations on the in the inside (where it suits his reach) could have Mikey a little flustered. Too bad he doesn't do that anymore. He doesn't even have someone that can be heard over the cash register sounds to clue him in. One or 2 flash knockdowns could be possible for Gamboa catching Mikey on the way in. But then Gamboa would get on his bike and duck/spin/clinch his way to a decision loss to keep from taking a drubbing, A stiff jab from mikey on the occasional 1 punch lunge from Gamboa could put an off balance gamboa on the seat of his pants. This fight would be 99% mental with Gamboa being disinterested and disarmed by the first game fighter he's fought in a while.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Donaire got pushed by old Vic, but he over came Vic in style, Rocky boxed a lot better than I have
ever seen him box before,! Garcia boxed very level headed, it was a good showing of his skills,
I would leave Gamboa alone, as I can only see it ending in tears for Garcia.

While the favorites won, what did we learn? Donaire's is at the end of his career. Garcia doesn't have an invincible chin. Andrade is not the next coming. On the flip side, Donaire's power carried up to featherweight. Garcia is an incredibly accurate sharp shooter and Andrade has a very effective jab.

Amen, to that effective jab. It's going to win him a lot of fights.

Good points and we learned just how tough and determined Darchinyan and Martinez can be. Valiant efforts by both. Vanes was tough too but just seemed lost.
