It was obvious too that Manny Paciuao took his foot off of the gas. Probably had stuck in the back of his mind the knockout loss he had to Marquez. But, he still looked impressive. Thrashed Rios for the entire fight. Wasn't even close.

    Who's next for Manny?

They made a statement on HBO that Prod is on the short list of upcoming fights. That one made me scratch my head a bit. Roach trains them both.

Nothing. A KTFO would've been a nice icing on the cake, but a little improbable, given Rios' chin (not much up there to rattle around), and Pac's understandable caution after his KO loss to JMM. Still, the thrashing was satisfying enough, and hell..... even Rios must be happy, since he claims to enjoy getting hit. He must've had a blast last night.

I believe some expected rust and for PAC to be a bit gun shy.

Rios is durable and has pop. His career will suffer if he doesn't learn to box soon.

I do wonder if we'll see Pac-Mayweather now. Floyd is running out of HUGE money matches Pac would still easily be the biggest for him.

Rios looked frankly like he hit a wall, after the 3rd HE was the one who looked just a bit gun shy to me. It was the most passive I've seen him considering his reputation. Whoever convinced him he could shell up early and try to box Manny should be fired.

Rios was asked during the post fight conference if he ever tried to k.o. pac and he basically said no cause he could of gotten k.o.ed. Sound like it was either gonna be Clottey or Margarito. Rios rather cover up and be like Clottey instead of Margarito.

What did I expect from the fight? Well, given the Rios rep for being a tough guy that likes to fight, I thought that he might have tried to win the fight. He made no such effort and it was obvious that his fight plan- and that means Garcia was in on this- was to take the money and run.
His chance to win the fight was to step over to his left- to constantly move to that side- to keep Pac in front of him. Then throw punches and rough him up. Instead he put his hands over his face and let Pac work him like a heavy bag. He didn't punch, didn't try to win, he just quit.
Rios ain't no fighter because he quits when presented with a problem. He should quit and go bag groceries.

Its easy to say all that after the fight but going into the fight there were a lot of question about if Pac is still Pac. That was determining Rios chances. I personally thought Rios would constantly pressure and get inside to do damage but he couldn't and was completely clueless on dealing with pacs speed and footwork. I didn't expect Rios and Garcia to be so surprise by Pacs speed cause they've seen it first hand before in the Margarito fight.

I'm surprised he went the distance. I didn't think he'd have the size and chin to stand up to 12 rounds of thrashing. I figured he'd get TKO'd.

There was no doubt in my mind Manny would destroy him. They needed a guy who was ranked highly but was tailor made for Manny to have an impressive performance, and Ruiz was the perfect choice.

As far as Pac/Mayweather, I doubt we'll ever see it. Manny lost a ton of his bargaining power with the JMM KO and Floyd will no doubt make him give in to his demands this time around.

Yeh I didn't expect that from him, not after all the bravado and all out attitude he had shown with Manny just blasted out. He looked flat and put on a leash.

I was Manny all the way but I expected to see Rios have a few more effective rounds. I didn't expect such a lopsided fight.

Absolutely nothing lol although some were banking on a miracle or the virgin mary coming to aide Rios..

Some fans figured Pacman wouldnt be the same after the last fight but many of us knew that one punch knockouts dont damage fighters like prolonged beatings do.. Pac was actually looking real good, giving marquez a beating until he got caught so I knew he'd recover fine, physically..

C'mon , it's fuckin slow Rios who can't box for shit. How is he going to compete with a speed demon like Pacquiao.. It dont work like that..

It's not easy to fight Manny. People don't take that into consideration. Personally, if the economics of Mexican money wasn't at the core of it, he should have stopped the Marquez fights after the second one.

There was no questions from me on Manny. He was robbed by Bradley. And Marquez fought til he won. See the above response.

Manny is still Manny. He needs to fight Floyd.

It isn't easy to fight many people at a world championship level. That doesn't mean you don't try. And the Rios camp did not try, not in their preparation, not in the ring. "I didn't try for the knockout because I probably would have got knocked out myself" is what a coward says. He didn't even try to win a world title, a win that would have opened up a treasure chest for him.
