Hooligans are less prevalent than they were in the 70’s and 80’s
Which is for the better. Now there are more non-white, women and families that come to matches. There is more of a problem in Eastern Europe and Italy. These people are normally very well off to afford to go to matches and lead respectable lives and businesses but have the time to kick off for some excitement.

Millwall and west ham are football teams that still loathe each other.
(There are many others but these are probably the main two)

As master says, its not as common as it used to be.

What better way to end a match than have a fight infront of families and young children and honest fans.

Football grounds at the top level of English football are generally all seater stadiums which means more families come to games now. Plus the ticket prices have rocketed too high for your modern day scallies.

There are no hooligans only knobheads.
Sadly I was born to late to be involved in 'epic' street fights, but after you are 25, it doesn't seem so exciting.
Hooliganism died a long time a go, CCTV, football banning orders, police everywhere, overpriced tickets.

Still very exciting to read about especially England abroad.
