Maidana makess ton of money in the rematch and is the best option for him as he wont be fighting mayweather.

Great to see broner wanting to avenge his loss and he will become a far better fighter after this.

He needs to get busy early and work on that defense big time.

He knows 147 is where its all at and thats the divison he wants to stay in.

It is but who else out there can do numbers besides Pac, Cotto and even Bradley? The media will sell Maidana after he beats lil brother again hoping the masses buy it.

Is it because he's a "mini JCC Jr. ?" by that I mean that he says he's comfortable at this weight just so he doesn't have to do a bit of hard work to fight at the next weight down. If he was honest with himself, he's probably just a lazy, arrogant prick!
Yea you've missed something. Broner brings the money. That's all that matters

The sad fact is.... whenever someone is annointed as "The Next (fill in the blank)"..... it takes more than an embarrassing beatdown to take him off that "money-maker" perch. Such is the sport of boxing. The press becomes infatuated with the fighter.... helps build the deserved or undeserved hype (doesn't matter, really)..... and eventually takes said fighter to PPV status.

In an ideal world, it should be Maidana deciding whether or not he gives Broner a rematch. But as you've seen by the responses here, not even boxing fans agree with that.

That's exactly what I want to hear from a fighter. It may not be the smartest move but I like his mentality..
David Haye said the same crap and we believed him. The loudest mouths are the first to shift plans and look for excuses to bow out of fights. This fight willnot happen. And if it does, the same outcome will take place----unless Broner makes it an absolute snooze fest by curling up into an even more Mayweather-type shell and somehow avoiding those shots, then somehow able to counter with any power---which he doesnt seem to have at 147.

If isnt that Broner is calling the shots for this fight....the contract dictated a rematch clause that he ia exercising

I also think that Floyd wanted him to exercise it so the Maidana talk would stop and pave the way to fight glass jaw kahn.

Also, Broner may have had a rematch clause in the contract- as he was the champ. So, he may have decided to exercise that clause. It did go the distance...

"Brings the Money?" How many more defeats before he stops bringing the money? And it's not his name associated with fighting Mayweather, it's Maidana's, and that's where the REAL money is. Just to show I'm not hating on Broner , I reckon he showed a lot of heart against Maidana, but if he fights any of the top Welterweights, the same thing happens .
If he goes back to Lightweight , he rules for years. But a.) he'll never see that weight again and b.) there's no money down there. His only option is to go to Light-Welter and try to win a world title. If he stays at 147, he'll be finished inside 2 years.(unless he manages to get a fight with Khan, because he will KTFO of Khan.)

Broner had an immediate rematch clause and executed it. Its a good sign and a good move. Its refreshing unlike my boy Bute who had one for Froch in Quebec and bailed on it. Damn man now Broner is getting shit on for doing the right thing.

I think Broner is delusional by insisting on an immediate rematch and GBP/Haymon have said to themselves fuck it, he's not as good as we thought he was so let's let the fucker sink or swim.

If Broner wins a controversial decision (which is highly likely) then a trilogy is pretty much guaranteed. But Maidanan may just beat the shit out of him again and what then? Maybe Broner says it's just another blip and he continues thinking he's the next Floyd. Which would give us the intriguing possibility that the rest of his career may resemble King Arthur's confrontation with The Black Knight.

Yup agreed 100%. It takes real balls to get right back in there with a guy who beat your ass. Because as we've seen (Price/Thompson) it's not always the right move.

But I think it's a good move for Broner. Adrien can win this fight if he fights smart IMO. And because people hate Broner so much, no matter who he fights NOBODY will let him forget the beating Maidana gave him unless he goes back and avenges the loss.

Even if he wins, nobody is going to let him forget that first fight. That's the way it's going to be for the rest of his career.
Broner has a lot riding on this rematch, whatever is driving him, be it hubris or whatnot he has to win. Nobody in their right mind can say the man does not have a set of balls.

If he could just control that disrespectful, trash talking mouth of his....no way, no how, no chance. Lol
