Exclamation Are Pac and Bradley really better off leaving Top Rank/HBO?

Or is it just some personal desire by fans so that it increases the chances of showdown with Floyd.

I'm not so sure they want to leave anyway and are relatively comfortable where they are. HBO is still the top dog in boxing and has a much bigger budget, right?

It makes sense for Manny if it means he can get the Floyd fight done.

Personally, I hope they jump ship, because I think boxing would benefit from having all fighters under one roof, so there are no more snag ups in getting fights made. And I hate Bob Arum.

Manny would be because he has stagnated and missed his best opportunity to beat Floyd.

Bradley will have the same issues, if it was not for the money he would not want to face Manny again I am sure he would like a chance against Floyd.

I've joked about them being protected at Soft Rank but being serious it is much easier over there.

The guys are older and smaller. I've heard a thousand times "you don't want to take on this young hungry fighter" from 100 different trainers. TR has the little old names and names bring money and little and old brings safety.

Porter is getting better, Thurman is getting better, Brook is probably getting better. When you step in with a young guy who's getting better you aren't sure who you will be fighting. If you want to be sure you want an old guy. You know all his tricks, all his strengths and all his weaknesses.

To speak to the OP if Manny and Bradley want the easy route to get paid TR is a good place for them. But if they want genuine challenges there is no doubt GBPs has more good young full sized welterweight talent.

Bradley has signed a new contract with Top Rank. Manny's manager has just made a point of saying that he hasn't signed a new contract and his existing one ends at the end of this year.
