Thread: Former Bantamweight champion Antonio Cermeno kidnapped and killed.

Unfortunately another boxer has met a violent death as Cermeno was apparently shot to death a day after being kidnapped. I remembered the name as soon as I saw the story but I don't recall what kind of fighter he was in his prime. I think he fought Norwood 3 times but I'm not sure how good he was. RIP Antonio Cermeno

RIP, had never seen him. The Cartel are beyond belief sadistic, they should legalize all drugs just to stop them alone. Hate to say it but there's a good chance this guy was caught up on the wrong end of their dealings, this doesn't sound random.

Man, thats just tragic. No one deserves to go like that. Dude was a awkward counter punching nightmare when at best. Caught him on Univision a few times, thought Vasquez barely nicked it and Norwood II had to be one of the fugliest "fights" to watch of the decade.
