Groves should give Degale a rematch even if Groves wins or loses against Froch.

First fight was close but Groves has elevated his game majorly since then while degale is pretty much the same fighter.

They are no longer on the same level. Groves would beat him clearly in a rematch and he dont need this fight. He dont need to take backward steps.

Degale is a C level domestic figjter. He aint shit.

Why? What has he done to earn it?

Since his fight with Groves he has had 8 fights and only 2 of them had decent records, while Groves has beaten a few decent fighters including his demolition of Smith in much more impressive fashion than DeGale.

Plus he had a world title shot in which he was essentially embarrassing the world champion.
Even the sanctioning body agreed the fight was ended badly and issued him a rematch.

I forget, who did DeGale just fight? Seriously I actually don't know.

It was one of the bad guys out of the film "Taken". They said he was undefeated but he had a loss on his record to Liam Neeson.

i keep reading groves is miles better nowadays

take away the froch fight their records arent much different

in fact degale could have been in with the tougher fighters

groves seems to have had much better exposure, perhaps because he is on our tvs a lot more people might be letting this sway their opinions

the first fight was very close, i thought groves won but i thought he won because degale threw it away

It is close between them, I think if De Gale has a title and Groves, it will make it a mega fight.

I don't think DeGale would have been stopped by Froch, or even seriously hurt to the point where the ref felt compelled to step in and give a standing 8.

im not sure groves was on his way out tho, the ref jumped in miles too early with the fight still very much alive with both fighters as much chance of KOing each other

anything could have happened

considering the magnitude of the fight it was a terrible stoppage
