Saw an interview of his recently and he said Froch should retire soon, Khan did not deserve a fight with Mayweather and that he would never come out of retirement. So he talks good sense.

He also said the only fighter who would have got him back in the ring was Andre Ward.

Would have been a close fight that

Ward would have beaten him, Joe is too old. He said his left hand is damaged and he knew he would retire soon after the Kessler fight.

You can tell he does not rate Carl Froch.

I think JC would have beaten them all no problem, he was a masterfull boxer who had the ability to adapt and change tactics mid fight and always found a way to win.

The way to beat a slick, speed demon like dirrell is through aggression and taking the fight to him..

Calzaghe dont get down like that bruh.. dirrell's urban rythm combined with his speed and switch hitting style would be too much for calzaghe to solve..

Joe would have beat him silly.
He could also stand toe to toe and have a tear up when needed but usually cruised to victory through his boxing skills and fast feet.
Dirrell would have been schooled by Calzaghe.
    He was just too good.

Exactly, Direll does not have enough to trouble Joe. Switch hitting and fighting on his back foot would just allow Joe to show his boxing skills and beat him convincingly.

Calzaghe was a Chameleon In the ring and one of best at it (Kessler fight )

If he had to go to war he would happily stand and trade and revelled in it.

He landed 1006 punches on Lacy that night which is ridiculous.

"Out of control windmill" was a classic quote someone once said about him

    Vintage Calzaghe
