Could it have something to do with him trying to get into Bob's pants? (So to speak) and maybe a little jealous animosity on Schaeffer's part? Oscar trying to set up GBP vs TR fighters is hopefully a good move for the sport

I heard something similiar. Oscar wants to make peace and do business with Arum but Schafer doesnt want any part of TR..

Well from a business perspective GBP do not need to do business with TR as they have better fighters and a better TV deal. From the sport's perspective though, it'd be better if these stupid little political games didn't interfere with quality fights being put together.

Any news on this front? I thought the problem was that Oscar didn't want the company turning into Al Haymon's company and Schaeffer did.

The only way to prove who is the better fighter is for the fighter's to settle it in the ring. Doesn't it make better business sense to put the best fighters against one another?
