Original & Best: The Sugar Man
Jesse James Hughes who used to fight a lot on USA Tuesday Night fights was entertaining in and out of the ring. Agreed on Ike Ibeabuchi who could have been a good to great fighter.
And I forgot about 1 of the modern day Road Warriors of boxing in Buck Smith who fought all comers but fell short alot. 200 fights and never won a major title.
Amir Khan! 😂😂😂
Good guys who had to work from the bottom up. Zavala maxed out what he had. He had a bad case of frozen feet late and believed in free trade but they didn't come any tougher and committed. It looked like Salud opened him up with a box cutter! He's another lost too early in life with tragic accident. Zamudio was a nice little switch hitter. Scores didn't do justice to what he did when on inside of Arbachakov.
Frankie Randall. He made it with the asterisk of 'upset' but he should have been so much more. Tremendous fluid boxer puncher with a chip on the shoulder
Heavyweight Johnmy Thunder who on USA Tuesday Night Fights knocked an opponent in Seven seconds,

I liked Ross Hale because of the Bristol boys thing. He was all set to move on from domestic level when he got twatted by Paul Ryan. I liked Ryan too but never fancied him to move beyond Brit level.
I thought Ajose Olusegun was going to be the goods when he was mugging off decent Brit/Euro fighters. Got bashed up by Matthysse and will now no doubt fade away dropping decisions to all sorts before getting chinned out then calling it a day.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
Charley Burley
Harold THE SHADOW Knight , look destined for world honours but came up short against Rocky Lockridge.
Engels Pedroza - a wild bomber who looks great against second raters but was a little short of world class.
Rod Douglas - great amateur boxers came up short against Herol Graham.
Remember reality is an illusion caused by a lack of alcohol .
Didn't Douglas finish because of a Brain injury? He does lose to Graham and that is no disgrace , but I think he would've come again and had a top career.
Infact, it baits the question that perhaps Benn and Eubank would've had different careers if they had come across Herrol Graham? Eubank has famously already stated what he thought of Graham.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Growing up in Bethnal Green, there were many great fighters around. I particularly liked Jimmy Anderson, a pretty dirty but clever fighter. I also remember Joey Singleton who never won a fight but we all loved him.
