Default Roy Jones would have beat all these idiots

All these so called fighters at 168 and 175, none of them would have won a round vs prime Roy Jones.

Roy was great but he still would have played basketball before a fight and not leave his own country.

To be honest, Roy would have been a champion in this era too of course but to say he would have blasted through those weights like they were nothing is ridiculous. Ward, Stevenson would have been stiff competition for Roy. GGG, Kovalev would have been dangerous opponents for him as we know Roy's achilles heel was on his jawline.

Great boxer though, prime Roy is right there at the top!

I think Ward could win a couple of rounds that's it though.

Yes he has to mention today's fighters as they are great and we just do not know it yet. Today's fighters are the best ever because we constantly move forward and improve in his la la land.

Alright that's a stretch, I'll not mention them again. Of course I'd pick Roy lol

Yeah for sure, Roy is likely the number 1 all round here, there's no denying that.

    Roy jones was truly gifted.

I would have loved to have seen how floyd would have dealt with a prime roy jones.

A complete chess match with speed, skill and timing..and defence.

I dont remember rj having no real defence it was just speed power and showboating.

A complete invisible chin when he wanted it to be.

We see his flaws now but he beat tarver the first time and thats all i need to remember.

    Roy had a great chin.

Its its muscle loss and so many other things that contributed to his demise.

What more could he achieve..even now he has went with the best of the cruiserweights.

Roy went 15 years as an unbeatable force (besides the lame DQ to Griffen which was avenged by brutal 1st round KO).

Floyd's the only better fighter I've seen in my time watching boxing.

Yeah I don't understand the thing about him having a bad chin. In his 15 years of pure brilliance, he was dropped once (and it was a flash knockdown that he jumped right up from).

Even when he was washed up, the punches that knocked him out were all bombs that landed in the right place.

Nobody in the history of the 168 and 175 divisions could touch prime Roy. People say "glass jaw this, Archie Moore, Bob Foster, ect". Too slow. They would have been obliterated.

Stevenson, Kovalev, and GGG would get beaten and beaten very bad. Ward would try to make it ugly...but at the end of the day....Roy would have overwhelmed him with his tremendous speed and power.

Ward has a very good shot at beating a prime Roy. Roy was talented, but go back and watch him against solid fighters who weren't intimidated and you will see he was not as dominant. Hop was green in their first fight, and once he got over the nerves he started winning rounds. It's why he always wanted a rematch with Roy, he knew he could beat him.

Roy was unorthodox and able to beat anyone because of his natural gifts, but to say that Ward, GGG, and even Stevenson couldn't beat him is crazy. Roy's most impressive wins were vs Hop, Toney, Griffith, Ruiz, and Tarver. Hop was green, Toney was lazy and inconsistent, Ruiz was a joke, and Roy struggled with Montell in the first fight n Tarver for all 3. Eric Harding have Roy trouble also, and he wasn't a great fighter.

I'm not a Roy hater, but Ward has the skill and speed combo to give Roy too much to handle, GGG has the punch and ability to take advantage of Roy's chin, and Stevenson is awkward and a big enough puncher to catch Roy. I think people would have a better idea of Roy's true greatness had he fought guys like Benn, Eubank, Darius M., Mclellan, Nunn, Liles...etc. He was an unbelievably talented fighter, but he wasn't as unbeatable as his fans try to portray.
