    Default Mikkel Kessler

What is going on with the viking warrior?

How much does he have left in the tank and who can he beat right now?

He has aged a bit, he's slowed and his reactions are a bit poorer but he is still a puncher with decent skills.

A decider with Froch is probably his last fight as I don't see him having enough time left to win and defend a title.

Although he is 2 years younger than Froch, he seems to have diminished while Foch has improved with age.
    You say tomato,
    ‘n I say …… it correctly.

I think the difference between Froch and Kessler is you an count on one hand how many pounds Froch needs to lose when starting a camp. I think Kessler is struggling to lose those last couple of pounds.

If Froch loses to Groves a third fight between the two would be ideal for both and if Kessler could get it at a catch weight of 170lb I think he stops Carl.

Kessler came short 3 major times.

    Calzaghe
    Ward
    Froch

He is a good fighter but he will never be the best at 168.

Perhaps he should go to 175.

Kessler just needs to rest and recuperate away from the ring. He may come back fresher and beat Froch/Groves.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

He has started sparring again a couple of weeks ago.

He is a class fighter and exciting to watch.

He says he burnt himself out in training and near the end of the camp he felt flat. He could be telling the truth and he's such an eye pleasing styled fighter to watch id like to give him the benefit of the doubt and see him take another Green type warm up catch weight fight first. Maybe against a Brian Vera?

A good fight is Braehmer , in Germany Kessler would be favourite to beat him big money
and I feel the German is the weakest Champion out there.
Kessler by KO Braehmer in my eyes is rubbish.

I think you're being too harsh on Kessler. Froch will never be the best at 168 either. The only 2 fighters Kessler couldn't beat are 2 fighters that no one has beaten.

Thus, he would have won those fights and he would have been the best.
    Bigger man George, bigger punch!

    But he didnt.

If he does get the winner of froch vs groves thats another big payday for him.

But there are other big fights for him as well at 175..depends how long he wants to continue in this fight game.
